This place has it all. Extremely well thought out. Dog beach. Lots of walking trails, store, playground, beach for swimming with lounge chairs, boat rental etc etc. Sites have green areas between RV or tent sites, staff are friendly and accommodating. BEST KOA we have stay at here is a picture of the dog beach well away the main activity area and distractions

Amazing camp ground! Beautiful views, and plenty to do. The sites/cabins are perfect, and the area is beautiful. The staff are helpful, and always around. The activities are great, and the environment is friendly.

So ive been to this campground twice now. The first time I figured it was just a bad site, but now I've been there twice and had the same exact experience. The site are extremely small, I have a 28ft trailer that fit length wise no problem but side to side I had to close the awning in order to use the fire pit. This was the case on both occasions and it wasn't the way I parked I know what I'm doing The second issue was the Long Horned beetles these things are everywhere. I've never seen them quite this bad anywhere else. The third and probably the worst was the sewer system. Im not an expert in septic systems but it seems like it's not vented properly because every now and again you get an awful smell. This is my take on it.. I did it twice just to make sure. Please be your own judge.

We opted for one of the super sites and it was worth the upgrade. We had beautiful views, lots of privacy and room to set up. The staff was very helpful and our 9 month old along with our dog enjoyed all there was to offer. We will be recommend to all our camping friends!

We've been taking our kids (now 10 and 9) to Chocorua KOA 1-2 times /year for the past 6 years. I also went there when I was a kid. We love everything about this place! The staff for the most part is amazing and attentive. Lots of things for the kids to do, and it's safe enough (staff are always present in golf carts) that they can ride their bikes around. I have noticed that prices have steadily gone up over the years. I believe the owners have retired and their kids are now managing. We are very worried that changes will be made. We hope they keep it exactly the same!! We go up next month, and are eagerly counting down the days!

Rude employees to begin with. I booked two sites and paid for the two extra people with the reservation. Was not trying to trick anyone. They said we had 17 people which is physically impossible to fit in the three trucks we had. I got charged for extra people without my authorization, nothing was signed and I didn't get a receipt. This is basically fraudulent activity.

Made reservations two months in advance. Asked for a waterfront tent site with electric and water hookups. Specifically stated I had very light sleepers. Reservations two months in advance. Asked for a waterfront tent site with electric and water hookups. Specifically stated I had very light sleepers. My children are five and seven I wanted a site not next to the bathrooms or in a high traffic area however walking distance to the bathrooms. We arrived everything seemed OK until we were given the map showing where our site was we drove to the site it was literally the tiniest worst site I've ever gone camping on and I've camped at tons of different campsites. I don't know why they even charge $64 a night for the site. Our tent barely fit on the site we were on the very edge of a hill and we barely had room for the picnic table. our car literally was parked in the site but half in the roadway because there was no room. We were directly across from the restrooms and the general store, the clubhouse area was directly across as well on the other side so no one even listened when we asked for a waterfront site away from the noise. By the way there was no waterfront near the site whatsoever. When we went to the front desk to get a different site we were told we could cancel and get our money back there was no apology there was not even an ounce of energy used to look up other sites. We were pretty much told too bad it was a holiday weekend they knew they were booked and they could actually replace our site with somebody else with no problem. Worst customer service I've ever had.
I would also like to mention the fact there was no toilet paper in the bathroom from 6 PM on a Saturday night until 10 AM Sunday morning a holiday weekend that is absolutely unacceptable.
They like to cater to the seasonal RV renters.
The only positives is they do have some nice activities for kids and they are pet friendly but they ruined my experience and I will never go to a KOA campground again based on this experience.
DO NOT STAY AT SITE 51

The campground was clean and peaceful. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Loved the location of our site and how close it was to everything that was going on. We already picked the site we want for next year! There is a great nature trail system that takes you across the marsh on really long, really cool bridge. We explored different sections each day. The only drawback is the pond is really shallow and weedy near the campground, but you can paddle out to deeper water for a swim. We got to be the first guests to rent the new paddle board! My daughter mastered it right away and was doing head stands!! This campground is definitely my favorite of all the places we've ever been. We had the greatest Father's Day Weekend EVER!!!

Awful service! I would give it 0 stars! Deceiving pictures in site. We booked for Memorial weekend for our first camping trip ever and we were so sad that when we got there it didn't look at all as the site showed. The actual spot we were given was as if we were in the backyard of any house. No view at all of anything. The lake looked like you should not go in the water (black). The worst part was that we asked to speak to someone who could help us at least move to a better spot with some view and NO ONE helped us. The person at the office told us the manager was going to call us and we are still waiting for his call. We decided to leave even after paying so much for such a lousy camping site (more expensive than other ones by far). We ended going to another campground and it was worth it. The other site was beautiful. Be careful and don't get fooled only because it says KOA. We did and we ended loosing $300 approx. :(
