Who inspires you?
Here at CCTC, we practice safety plans. Safety plans are a simple, but very effective way of keeping alive the message to children that our goal is to keep them and ourselves safe when feeling overwhelmed or stressed. Safety plans can include talking to a friend, taking deep breaths, listening to music and more. What's your safety plan?

CCTC's Running Tip of the Week: Slow down your pace. You may be used to running eight-minute miles when you run the three-mile loop in your neighborhood, but it'll be hard to keep up that pace when taking on a 10-mile run. As your body gets used to the increase in mileage, you can gradually begin to increase your speed.
Art therapy is one of the many services that we provide at Children's Crisis Treatment Center. Through Art Therapy, kids can have an easier way to express themselves since children are more naturally artistic and creative. Art therapy can also aid a child in achieving better self-awareness, relief from stress or anxiety, and other traumatic experiences. For more information, go to www.cctckids.org.
