CWJT is here to improve child welfare and child protection systems in the US and the developing world. Focused on implementing laws that are already on the books in most countries, CWJT provides technical assistance to government professionals, NGOs, missionaries, and organizations that serve children and families in adversity. The focus of any child welfare system should be to ensure that children and families in adversity get the services they need to remain together, that children who must be removed from their families receive proper care and therapy, and that children be reunited with their families or communities whenever possible.
