Chicago Jazz Entertainment specializes in providing jazz trios, quartets, vocalists and string quartets for corporate receptions, private events, weddings and more. Started by Chicago Jazz Magazine founder Mike Jeffers in 2006 while working at the #1 hotel in North America at the time, the Peninsula Hotel Chicago. Jeffers coordinated jazz trio, quartet and vocalist performances for VIP and corporate receptions at the hotel and realized there was a need to help clients connect with experienced musicians that looked great and sounded incredible. He started Chicago Jazz Entertainment to help make it easy for clients to find the perfect music that would enhance their event but not overwhelm the guests.
