  The atmosphere is lovely. However, stick to salads and sandwiches. Soup was cold, had to be sent back and reheated. Then, the dinner was cold too. Creative food but disappointed it was so lacking. Perhaps if they started with warmed plates?? So very easily corrected.

  The bomb! Great atmosphere and delicious food! Truly great place for a morning brunch! Wish had a pick my update with one next when I am there.. yum can't wait lol

  amazing barbeque sandwich. Fried chicken sandwich was excellent as well. Good selection of vegetarian entrees. Good draft beer list. Nice casual atmosphere.

  Our server Tom was great. He had a wonderful sense of humor and did a great job explaining what sets Chestnut apart from other restaurants downtown. You can tell that everyone from the hostess to the servers take pride in their work.
  We highly recommend the fried chicken sandwich for a deliciously filling meal or any of the salads.
  On this visit we tried the calamari salad and squash quinoa salad. Both were light, but satisfying for lunch.
  The ambiance of this restaurant is perfect for a number of different occasions. From a business lunch or dinner on a night out your side to be pleased with the experience.

  Superb wine list to complement the awesome food. Service was friendly and very helpful without that fake feeling you get in many chain restaurants. A big recommendation from us. Give them a try

  From the moment you enter, the service is outstanding! Michael greeted us with a great smile and gave us fabulous service! I'm going to try and copy a side for meals at home! Loved this restaurant!

  Delightful atmosphere and polite staff. Could have skipped the watermelon soup, but the rest of the meal was excellent. Melt in your mouth beef, scrumptious ravioli, and lightly sweetened raspberry sorbet. Service was attentive but not annoying. Would definitely return for a visit next time in town.

  We really enjoyed our meal! My wife loved her stuffed chicken, I thought the Cajun fish with grits and greens were excellent. They source locally so everything is fresh. You can taste the quality in the salads. FYI.. I don't think you need a reservation if you dine at the bar..

  This is the perfect place for a date night or a business dinner. The appetizers and medium plates are large enough for meals and the soups are rich enough in just a cup. I always get the lobster bisque it has an ample supply of lobster for the money.

  Great service, not so great food. Everything here sounds amazing so I was very disappointed. The lobster bisque was okay, the shrimp and grits treated like they just dumped cheap Chinese sauce over their dish.

  I booked a reservation here for the first time for a Saturday night. There were only late times available, but we were seated in a very timely manner. We got seated in the tiniest corner at the tiniest table despite several other open tables, but we made it work.
  
  There was a bachelor party behind us loudly dropping F-bombs like Dresden all over again. The waitress said she would ask them to tone it down but apparently to no effect. I'm no stranger to four letter words, but if I want to use them in public at a restaurant, I'll go to Applebee's or Chili's.
  
  I guess I'm getting old, but I think a restaurant that uses the term "fine dining" in their description should ask patrons to wear pants or at least have some sort of button somewhere on their person.
  
  Anyhow, the service was great. The server was very attentive and knowledgeable. It was a late reservation, but nobody was rushing patrons out the door. I believe service and quality should be consistent throughout dinner service, and they did a good job with consistency.
  
  The food was kind of disappointing, however, perhaps due to my expectations beforehand. The salad was soaked in olive oil vinaigrette and looked like what my cats throw up after eating grass outside. The tuna was seared to my liking, but the secret ingredient seemed to be salt in the rest of the dish.
  
  It wasn't necessarily a bad experience, but it will be a little while before I give this place another try.
