I frequented this place weekly when I lived in the area. I came back for a wedding 11/4. This was a beautiful venue for a wedding. Everything was perfect! The Crab Cakes and Fillet Minion, amazing. Staff was great too!!

Amazing!! The view and atmosphere are fantastic! And the food is great as well. I like that they have a formal area as well as their casual dining area. No complaints about the service either! I would highly recommend Chesapeake Inn to anyone new to the area looking for q good time!

We have eaten here many times. The food is always top notch and the service impeccable. There are great views of the canal, too. We enjoy both the dining room and the outdoor bar area. Highly recommend this place!

service is always good, food takes a little long but it's well worth it. best seafood in the Chesapeake bay area and the area surrounding is beautiful. this place is right on the water. you can't go wrong with any meal here. I've had the short rib ravioli, the seafood burrito, the soft shell crab sandwich, crab-cake sandwich, and all of the soups. Everything here is really goo.

Great place for eating outside by the water. Usually quick and friendly service even if you opt to have service to your boat. Difficult to find a parking spot for either car or boat...its always a jumping place but if you are patient it works out in a short period of time.

Food is good. Ok prices but good quality.

One of my kids favorites because of the Chesapeake pizza.

Beautiful setting for an outside meal, family friendly. The only issue we had was service for a large group was a little slow and the waitress seemed to be a little stretched thin with too many tables at one time. Other than that, food was delicious!

I have had the pleasure of both working and eating at the Chesapeake Inn, and I can say without a doubt that it is my favorite spot on Earth. Beautiful views, a fun downstairs deck with live music, and a gorgeous upstairs dining room with fine dining. The servers are a family, and put great love into all that they do. The upstairs terrace is beautiful in the summer months, and the specials that are offered are delicious. The owner is one of the most incredible people I have ever worked for, as well.

Nice outdoor patio/bar area right on the water. Great live music for happy hour. Service could have been better. But, the place was really busy and she was covering a big area, so I take that into consideration. Definitely plan to go back.

Excellent atmosphere , fantastic live band, and cocktails are delicious. I enjoyed multiple appetizers including calamari, stuffed mushrooms, fried tomato , and Brussels sprouts which were all very good. However my main dish was the opposite. As soon as the server put it in front of me , I knew it wasn't going to be good based on the presentation. I had the Grouper dish with some strange sauce which was way too soupy on the plate and had a terrible taste and look. The onions and peanuts were out of place and not good either. This entire dish should be removed and revamped. I ended up scrapping all that stuff off my fish and moving my fish to an entirely different plate to eat it.

It's marketed as a high end seafood place. A little expensive for what you order, I grew up on the shore and have had cheaper better food from a few places. This place is your pretty typical "always have good food, but you pay a lot for it because the place is always packed.". There is a separate menu for outside vs inside. Outside is more casual.

    They have good sushi too.

Always a massive amount of people during warm weather. Able to dock boat. Parking is terrible, you are better off paying them $5 for valet parking or else you will likely have a 5 minute walk to the place to find a spot.

Only reason they got 4 stars is bc their price for drinks is expensive. They don't do cover charges like the goose. At least not while I was there a couple times. Not sure how their food service is. Never ordered food.

Great place and food is consistently good here. Love the crush drinks and drunken clams dish. It's usually crowded but I have never had a problem getting a table after a short wait outside.

Beautiful waterfront restaurant, frequently with live music events. Very casual downstairs and a bit more serious menu upstairs. We always enjoy going here

We ate upstairs on a Sunday at two in the afternoon It was not crowded. There were no anchovies in my Ceasar Salad, nor was I asked if I wanted any. I had the Chilean Sea Bass which was delicious. Beautifully prepared. Delicious sauce. However, the lobster which came with it was quite overcooked, chewy and tough. The meal would have been better without it.

I did not receive a spoon with my table service, which I could have used to remove the lemon pits from my sparkling water, which they would only serve by the glass, even after I asked that a bottle be brought to the table.

The three stars are for the Chilean Sea bass, the waitress and the view!

Good food, excellent views & ambiance. Love the waterfront. Overall wonderful place. I only wish they would separate the smoking from the non-smoking, folks don't realize just how invasive their smoking odor is.
