Overall my experience at Cherry Creek has been quite pleasant. The maintenance has been taken care of as applicable and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly.
The only problems I've had were on the rent I was accidentally overcharged (~$10), which was promptly credited back to my account (before I even had a chance to ask about it). Additionally, there was an altercation in the parking lot a few weeks back, but welcome to Ogden, thankfully nobody was hurt and the situation was dealt with in a very prompt professional manner from everything I saw.
The Facilities are well maintained especially for their age, and several apartments that I looked at in the nearby area were more expensive for less than what you get here. The hot tub has been fantastic and the weight room has only been locked off once for some minor maintenance.
The walls can seem a bit thin at times but, from my part, none of my neighbors have ever let any music or noise get too loud; especially after typical quite hours. Well, apart from the random jet flying into the air station.
Overall I would recommend Cherry Creek to anyone that actually understands that life happens on occasion. Unless you're buying a home nothing is going to be exactly perfect, but the staff and facilities are quite fantastic and you can very easily find a worse scenario elsewhere. For the price you'll be hard pressed to find a more convenient, quieter, safer location.
**for your consideration I am a single male, living near the back of the complex. I have lived in rental houses, multiple apartment complexes in utah, and military barracks (open floor plan, shared room, and private room).
We had nothing but problems here. There were rodents living in the walls and furnace closest. The bedding from the nests actually started coming through the nail holes in the walls. There are birds living in the dryer ducts as well, I was approached several times by vagrants in the dark asking for money or cigarettes. There was animal waste all over that was never picked up including on the sidewalks. When I moved in I had to spend 2 days cleaning up all the animal hair and gross stuff stuck to the walls. They never fixed the locks no matter how many times I asked them to including bringing it up the day I moved in. The neighbors weren't considerate either. Loud fighting all night, slamming furniture and doors all night. I called management over 10 times about it and nothing was done. The police were called 3 times in the issue and only showed up once. There was some shady characters about at all hours of the night. Stolen shopping carts and garbage laying around the grounds that sat for months before that was taken care of. The landscapers are very rude. I asked one of them if they'd be able to get the bush branches off of my patio in the future after leaving them every time before and was told to go pleasure myself with the sticks. I do have video of these things as well as photos so save the money, the rent is horrid for what you get. 885 for a 1 bed with dumb extra charges that seem to come out of nowhere. It's the size of a crackerjack box a whole 740 sq ft. Look around there's several places better than this for the same price.
I would give zero stars if I could. After months of telling the management about suspicious people coming and going, it finally culminated in a shootout right in front of our building. Do not move here. It's not worth it. The shoddy quality of the buildings speaks for itself and the rent is ridiculous to be dealing with the possibility of being shot. Definitely leaving here as soon as I can.
I left a review with 2 stars about a year ago. I wanted to update my review. Since I left my last review, my experience has improved. The bugs are still an issue, but I understand they do try their best at getting the issue resolved. They have been on top of spraying for bugs this year which has helped a lot. Our AC unit has gone out a few times this summer as well, but they are always quick on fixing the issue. The staff is still my favorite part about living at this complex. They are always so friendly and helpful. If I were to have one complaint, it would be the cost of the units. They are definitely priced high for the value, and the prices go up every year. Otherwise, my experience has improved. (:
Zero water pressure, only good thing is the staff. However, you don't have to live with the staff, you have to live with zero water pressure, good luck flushing your toilet!
We have lived here for a little under a year. Overall its been a very pleasing experience. The staff are so so so helpful and nice! The apartment floors in certain spots and our bathtub are creaky and noisy but that is my only complaint. The grounds are always very well kept, the people are very nice, and parking is easy to find. I've never had a problem with someone being in my spot which is such a pleasant change from our last residence. The maintenance staff is always readily available to fix problems as long as it isn't a weekend. We live here with our son and feel very safe having him outside as well. Overall this complex is very well run and it is a wonderful place to live!
Love living here they have an amazing staff they are always there for the tenants. Very nice place and people
There are a lot of good things about Cherry Creek. The staff is very friendly, maintenance is fast acting, and the pool, hot tub and gym are nice bonuses (when they're not closed for maintenance), however there are a lot a issues. My boyfriend and I moved here in December of 2015. We moved into a one bedroom apartment on the bottom floor of the "low income building," (that I'm almost certain doesn't actually exist and was just another scam to trap us) and when signing our lease we were told that including the separately paid utilities, our total rent would never go over $750.00. Our apartment rent alone (utilities not included), climbed every month we were there, constantly adding bogus charges, and we were paying well over $800.00 a month for JUST rent. Add utilities onto that, and our total $750 rent turned into $1100 a month. Our lease ended in September, and we were more than happy to be getting out. When we paid out last month's rent, we had a prorated amount for 3 days. Given the rent we signed for, the prorated amount should have been $69 plus the separately paid utilities. Instead, they told us there were some utility charges that they didn't bill us for months (which is bullshit because we paid for water, sewage, trash, gas, electric, cable, and wifi literally every month we lived there), and that they would just keep our deposit to cover the cost. On top of them taking our $150 due deposit for some utility bills we never saw or were shown proof of, they wanted another $150 for the prorated amount... Which should have been $69. Finances aside, we had horrible trouble with neighbors, and the staff don't do a whole lot to help. I've even been to the point of calling the police before. Parking is a pain in the ass, kind of a joke. There was a two day period where the power in the entire complex was out, and the staff was conveniently "out of office" the entire time. AND THE BUGS! Oh, my god, the bug problem here is so, so bad. The pictures I have posted are after 2 DAYS of not vacuuming the windows, doors, floors, ceilings, and replacing fly traps. If you don't mind ridiculous rent that is not worth the apartments, cohabiting with a galore of flies, boxelder bugs, and spiders, obnoxious neighbors, and ever-occurring issues, then Cherry Creek is right for you. If you have a problem with any of those things, I suggest going somewhere cheaper and better managed.
I have had just about the exact same experience as the review written before mine. There is one great thing about this complex and that would be the staff. The leasing consultants in the main office are wonderful ladies and I have enjoyed working with each one of them. However, unfortunately, the cons outweigh the pros by a substantial amount. We originally signed a lease for a certain price, but once we received our first bill it was of course higher than what we were quoted. My partner lost her job a couple months in so we called to make payment arrangements. Keep in mind we paid about 80% of rent and scheduled a day a few days later to pay the rest. Even with our payment arrangement, we had to pay $25 extra A DAY in late fees. The bug problem in this complex is pretty insane. I would walk into my house and have about 30-40 box elder bugs swarm my body. I wouldn't be able to walk into any room of my house without having bugs dart at me and I couldn't sit comfortably in my own house on any of my furniture. We placed a complaint and all we got back were the days they had people come and spray for bugs. I do admit it has helped a little at a time. I mean, I can sit on my couch and only have 5 bugs on my ceiling which is nice compared to what it usually is. We have had some issues with neighbors in our building as far as harassment and bullying. The first day of our move in the air conditioning did not work what so ever. Luckily the staff there is pretty good, so they were on it, but it continued to have the same issue multiple times. Which again, have been resolved, luckily. Unfortunately, they lock you into their lease contracts with barely any options. Unlike most apartments where they will let someone take over your lease, Cherry Creek has zero options any normal working person could afford to do. Unless you would like to go to collections for the remaining of the lease term where you will owe everything including collection fees, or pay over $1,700 buyout fee along with being forced to pay 2 months extra in rent on top of that regardless if you utilize the apartment or not. Since I don't have $4,000 just laying around to waste, I am stuck here. I am counting down the days where I am no longer living in this overpriced complex where they legally force you into staying with them regardless of your situation. All I can say is, good luck. These apartments are not worth the outrageous amount you pay for them. If money wasn't a factor and it was solely based on the amazing kindness of the staff, this wouldn't be a bad place to bunker down. Sadly, it's not in their control, as they follow policy.
Don't let yourself be fooled by bad reviews! It's a wonderful place to live! My family and I are new in Utah and the cherry creek staff made our moving more pleasant and easy. We stayed in touch two weeks prior to moving here and they assisted us with all our needs. The moving packet had a page full of services around the community as well as elementary schools, doctor offices and barber shops! Lol Management has been very kind to us and they're always very friendly. I read in a previous review that the bills are expensive and honestly our bills are always below $20 and even $10. There are NO bed bugs either! I was concerned about that as well because of all negative reviews but I gave them the benefit of doubt and my husband and I inspected the whole apartment and we're not able to find anything! We are still missing our access card and for them to help us with our dishwasher and if this hasn't been addressed is because we are always working and have yet to stop by the office. There was this one time when I had just moved in that I needed to print out my resumee and the girls in management went ahead and helped me out with this! That's going out of their way! Kudos to them! Just a heads up to everyone ALWAYS read the terms of your contract and not just sign right away. My husband and I reviewed everything before signing so if there's extra charges there's for sure a reason behind it. This place has been wonderful!
if u are going to be living in riverdale I strongly refer any one to this place the staff is careing and hard working my wife and i moved here 2 years ago and have not had any trouble getting them to come out even on a weekend to fix an issue iv lived in a lot of places acrost this nation and have not ever been treated as well as i am here.
Never rent here, they tow cars in what they say is a fire lane, and it's not marked or posted. Management talk down to you like you don't know what your talking about. When you call the tow company that they go through, and tell them there is another car in the same spot, and they tell you it's besides the point. Management seen the car there. Maintenance says it's a parking spot, then management says he shouldn't have said that. They never take care of complaints when you tell them about people at pool with beer bottles or the ones there talking about doing drugs in the apartments. Never come here. Hotels will be so much better.
