The idea for Check Your Engine Light started when I moved out west and went used car shopping. The engine light was coming on in some of the vehicles and I didn't know if it was a $20 problem or a $2000 problem. After doing lots of research and analysis I saw an opportunity to solve a pain point for vehicle owners and create a better solution than what's currently being offered so I started Check Your Engine Light.Check Your Engine Light is our primary app which is used when the engine light comes on. The user plugs the Check Your Engine Light scanner in under the vehicle’s steering wheel, they pair their smartphone or tablet with the scanner via Bluetooth and open the Check Your Engine Light app. The app shows what’s wrong with the vehicle, can clear the codes and turn the light off. There are several more features which are differentiators versus competitors and will disrupt the automotive industry.
