It’s a great location and maintenance is responsive but there are several other issues with the place. It constantly smells like Marijuana, elevators are always down, if you live on the first floor and have a patio, people come up and look onto your windows. We had things get stolen. If you’re late on rent they don’t work with you. They just try to shove you out the door and it makes the place feel less like home. Too expensive. It’s always very loud. There are constant parties from Wednesday to Saturday so don’t plan on sleeping well those nights. I do not plan to renew my lease.

Pros
Landlord responded quickly, management and maintenance team is friendly. (Repairman Adam tightened my bed-frame when I only ask for repairing windows, thumb up for him).

Cons
Keep both clips locked or your windows are likely to fall off track.
Bed-frame is bad and produces noises when I get on bed.
Noise isolation is bad and people party.
Elevators are constantly OUT OF SERVICE, today are both of them, so not a good place for disabled people.

The leasing office always lies to you, i lost two packages from the reception. They also took away your deposit with reason you never know, just like other leasing agent.

Room window fell off after shutting the door, on a rainy day!!!

I have been living at Chauncey Square for a year and decided to renew my lease for another year. It is an outstanding place to live! The location cannot be beat, as it is near campus, restaurants, and all of the bars. The apartment units themselves are very nice and they are well built, so utility bills are pretty inexpensive. Maintenance is extremely responsive and usually shows up within a day or so. I cannot speak highly enough of Chauncey and I would highly recommend it to a friend!

Pros: really good location (close to stores, close to campus)
Cons: just about everything else. The walls are are thin beyond imagination, the windows might as well be made from paper, and though the location is nice, you can hear drunk people, trucks, and crickets at 4 am as clear as if your window was wide open on the first floor. Wifi is also really spotty. You won't get decent sleep here and will probably hate your neighbors especially when they play super loud music from midnight to 6am. They put the newer apartments as their pictures online, but you're probably pretty lucky if you get that (can you even get one I don't know, since you're randomly assigned). Would not live here again for sure, especially for such a high price. They charge so much for how bad the quality the building is especialy in their walls and windows. Also, walking up 5 flights of stairs is way faster than taking the elevator.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. Elevator never works, walls are super thin, showers are absolutely disgusting, and the garage arm that lets you in broke one night and it was 2am so I had to park on the street and got a ticket and Chauncey said it was my fault since I didn't call maintenance at 2am!

Also the management is terrible and apartments are way overpriced. The ONLY good thing this place has is location and it is not worth it at all. WAY TO EXPENSIVE. I would rent elsewhere at all costs.
