Mrs. Yolanda Chappell and family have always showed me Grace in my times of need. There was a time when I was in a very dark place in life that I choose for myself and the Chappell's where there to pray with me to assisst me any way they could. Now just recently one of my close friend mother passed away in another state, she did not have any insurance. When I contact Mrs. Chappell and made her aware of the situation she only said come see me. That very day July 21,2017 they went and brought her body back to NC. I started a GoFundMe that didn't raise hardly any money but the community made donation the churches made donation, but there was still a balance. To God be the Glory the balance is now zero that's kind of God the Chappell serve and shows favor to the family that do business with them. They really treat their families in need with love and respect and always willing to do whatever it takes to make the family happy.

During the time of the sudden loss of my 18 yr old nephew while away attending college, my family was shattered, numb and almost unable to function. He drowned at Georgia at Kennesaw State University after exams, and we had to bring him home.
We contacted several local funeral homes to try and get someone we could trust. I had attended multiple funerals that Chappells had conducted and contacted them as well as others.
We chose them to handle Aaron's homegoing. They called to check on the family, they sent staff out to set up at our home in Selma. The office staff called to pray with us and to keep us informed and to carry out our wishes.
His service was more than we could have dreamed. he looked as if he were asleep and had a slight smile on his face. What a comfort.Words cannot convey how much that meant to us. He knew the Lord so I know we will see him again but it was so important that our final act for his earthly body been done with love, dignity and respect. Chappells met and exceeded all that we could imagine. plus they came with soloist, pianist, attendants, two limos and genuine concern.
I would recommend them with the highest confidence. What a blessing to be able to support black business with the knowledge that it is well deserved.
To those reading, please be prepared and get insurance now. With assurance that one day you will leave this world. Prepare now and you can leave the details to the professionals and not have to grapple over discounts and corner cutting.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK Chappells Funeral Home. Longevity speaks for itself.

Chappell's service was absoulty amazing. My sisters and I lost our mother unexpectedly. We knew that in the past that Chappell have buried other family members. Her and husband had us in the office laughing while we discussed business as well. My mother's service was beautiful. My sisters and I are so grateful. Thank you Chappell!

These people are my family who I have witnessed over the years to give their very own money to bury other people's love ones. We have had our differences, but I must defend their sowing into the community!
Some People who have experienced a loss are dishonest, or think that funeral business is a Non-profit.it certainly is not! Some people walk through the doors trying to figure out how they can get free funerals, beat the funeral director out of their prices and then post negative reviews to keep the public from knowing the truth. Funeral directors are human and yes we, like everyone else, make mistakes! Yolanda and Charles, Sr. are my Mom & Dad and I support them.
We, as a family, are going to upgrade our level of service and bring the community even greater and more professional service in a continued effort to help heal the grieving community! Keep us in your prayers!

Good Day To You. This is Mel D. And I know Rev. & Mrs. Chapelle are doing a great job in the community! They are down home folks, love the Lord and have great affordable rates. They work with all families and it breaks my heart to see negativity posted. They are not trying to compete with other funeral homes, but just giving a great service. We have many great funeral homes in the area and they are one! I have seen their work on many classmates and family members. It is very sad that some of you would post such negative information. Did you know it costs more to leave this world?? I thank Mrs. Chapelle for her deep down old Christian songs at the final rites. Sometimes when she sings and other staff members, it simply let you know that the anointing is in the service. Hats off to this family for serving Wake and Johnston Counties. No, I am not a family member, but a concerned citizen that have seen their work for years! Thank you for a great service for my cousins Mr. Mosco Sanders and Faye Morgan Amons and many more. Thank you for the yearly calendars. I personally salute you at this hour from Philadelphia, PA ..and thank you for serving our community. Proverbs 3:5-7..
