Mr. Chambers is so nice, friendly and efficient! I brought in two pairs of boots and got them repaired in 20 minutes. That was so cool! I can't praise this business enough! 🙂
This business has been around for quite a long time. Chambers is iconic in the community. They do good work but their service is the poorest. I have patronized them on three occasions and been turn away on two. They do not return your shoes in a timely manner. Twice this has been done to me. This last time I was requested to return four times before finally receiving my shoes. Another sad situation is that they make you pay for services before they do the work. I try to patronize businesses in my community and those that are black own I encourage but why so often black businesses has the poorest and disreputable customer service? Then it is asked, why don't you support your own people? I do not recommend Chambers. Suprisingly that they're still in business.
I have been going to this place for over a decade now alway had great service.they still do a great Job however their store hrs are not conducive for business men like me.
open only 4hrs a day will not cut it.they need longer hrs for pickup and drop off I want be back until they do.
They've been around forever. Started on Central Ave and Firestone in the 70's or earlier! I've never been disappointed with any services. Once my purse wasn't repaired in a timely manner. I didn't get upset. One guy is responsible for certain repairs, and it's worth the wait.
The heavy guy at the front counter was horrible. I paid $55.00 in advance for two pair of shoes. Two weeks later, they were not touched, laid over in a bundle of shoes on a big shelf and my linen shoe had dark marks on them. The heavy guy was so hideous. After two weeks, they were still not shined, I had a flight to catch. He acted so remedial. And told me, "He hopes I never come back." He was a miserable person, but had no problem rejecting my request for a refund.
