Repo'd vehicle that was under an order of protection for bankruptcy and then harassed and verbally abused me when I tried to get the vehicle back because they illegally repossessed it.

This is the worst place in Chilton county to purchase a vehicle. The owner of this place does not abide by his own agreements. I paid my payments monthly instead of biweekly per an agreement with the owner. My payments were scheduled to be paid on the 26th of each month. Paid them every month with no problems. On Sunday January 25, 2015 went to Alabaster and my truck was gone when I came out of the store. I thought the truck was stolen so I reported it due to the fact that my payment was not due until the 26th of January. On Monday, I contact Certified Auto Sales to see if there was a GPS on the truck ONLY to find out that there was a repo order and they got the truck back. I was left in Alabaster all my belongings included my cell phone was in the truck at the time it was taken. Made several calls to the owner on Monday concerning the repo and was told the reason for the repo was that I was 100 days late. Now he is saying if I want the truck back I will have to pay monthly payment, repo fee, and a late fee. Have receipts no payments were late. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE!!!! The use of the owners language was VERY Inappropriate!!! The vehicle I purchased was a complete LEMON put several $$$ in it and still needs work. Transmission went out 30 minutes after driving off the lot, owner would not give down payment back but agreed to replace transmission even though he stated he is not responsible once driven off the lot. He says he replaced this out of the kindness of his heart. What a crock? In closing, I have one thing to say Hmmm income tax season. Think twice before buying from here

John Carpenter is the most unprofessional business I have ever dealt with. Never again will I recommend this business. And this review is coming from a customer who paid every month and on time. I feel sorry for a person who needs to be late with their payment because he harrassed me when I traded my car in and received a pay-off check. He acted like a complete fool and tried to flex muscle that he did not have, which only resulted him being a joke. Traded the vehicle in on Friday, he called Tuesday MORNING demanding payment and continued to call for days. AND the original monthly payment for the car wasn't due yet. I communicated with him that the car was being traded in to a dealership and he would be getting a pay-off and he did not stop harassing phone calls. The whole turn around time from the time my car was traded in, funded by the lender, payment to him was sent was less than 21 days. Which is beyond normal business practices. This little lot is a joke and Mr. Carpenter is a harassing fool.
