Central Avenue Eye Care is an insurance-free, direct access optometry practice for patients of all ages. Dr. Pannebaker fits all types of contact lenses including soft, gas permeable and specialty contact lenses. We also have fashionable and affordable eyewear for patients of all ages. Dr. Pannebaker also co-manages cataract surgery and LASIK. Shelbie Herold joined Central Avenue Eye Care last November as office manager. We are conveniently located adjacent to Grady hospital in Delaware.

We highly recommend that our patients contribute to Health Spending Accounts and Flexible Spending accounts as a savvy tax-deferred option for funding vision care. For patients with vision insurance, we gladly supply the procedure and diagnostic codes from your visit so that you can obtain out-of-network reimbursement.

Dr. Cathy Pannebaker and her family have lived in Delaware since 2004. She earned her Doctorate in Optometry from TOSUCO in 2006, completed her Advanced Practice Fellowship in Cornea and Specialty Contact Lenses in 2008 along with a Masters in Vision Science, and was granted her Fellow designation from the American Academy of Optometry in 2011.

Dr. Pannebaker brings experience from private practice and teaching at The OSU College of Optometry. She sees patients of all ages starting at 6 months. She is a member of the American Optometry Association and the Cornea and Contact Lenses Section, along with the American Academy of Optometry.

Our introductory hours are Mondays and Thursdays from 9am to 6pm, and two Saturdays each month from 9am to 1pm.
