Using state-of-the-art rapid prototyping technologies, the CBM produces accurate physical models of molecular structures. These physical models function as “thinking tools” and are used by educators at all levels. Through its many science education outreach programs, the CBM engages both teachers and their
students in the exploration of molecular structure and function using cutting-edge technology.

Proprietary modeling software allows the participants in these programs to design physical models of molecular structures that are currently being investigated in structural biology research labs. Collectively, these programs expose teachers and their students to the “real world of science” as it exists in active research labs and bridges the gap between the classroom and the lab.
