Firstly I waited a hour for my appointment, everyone's time should be precious. The doctor made no eye contact which was frustrating and smelled like B.O. The whole office needs a desperate makeover the computers up front look like the big 90's ones and still use the filing system
Update: I stated that I had lower back, shoulder, and neck pain. He wrote me a script for my back only. Physical therapy won't see me until I go back to the doctors and get a new script that says shoulders too because he won't fax a new oneprobably because they don't have a fax machine. What a waste of time and money.
Update 2: I waited a half hour in the waiting eoom then another half hour in the exam room for Dr. Eglevsky to correct the script that he wrote

Dr. Eglevsky might need to retire. I went there the office is very old smelling of mold, the computers are very old circa 2000 it takes forever to get checked in and anything printed. My interactions the 2 times I went were awful! Dr. Eglevsky first felt like I was inconveniencing him just being there. The visit was very rushed, he never made eye contact, he just asked me 20 questions made me touch my toes, prescribed the lowest pain meds he could sent me on my way. The next time I saw him I could not walk my sciatica was so bad I couldn't feel my foot or the bottom of my leg he did exactly the same thing and sent me for an MRI. After the results his nurse called and said would I like to set up an appt for epidural shots??? I asked could the Dr. call and and explain my results he called the next day and basically said either shits or surgery which he doesn't do?? I immediately booked another dr in Richmond went there he explained on a scale of 1-10 my herniation was a 9.5 and I should have had surgery along time ago when he asked who my other Dr. was he said "wow he's still alive" scheduled surgery that day and I'm 100% better!

I blew out my ACL and went in to have surgery. Eglevsky did not inform me about the numbing technique the anesthesiologist could do for my knee that would reduce the amount of pain I was in post surgery. Rather, I was informed about this AFTER I was given the feel good drug before surgery, I declined because it had something to do with my spine (like an epidural).

That is the first issue, the second issue was after the surgery he stated that that when taking a slice of my central tendon (the one he was replacing my acl with) it split and he had to stitch it back together before using it to replace the ACL.

Third, the day I was suppose to leave they took my "medicine button" away, and instead of the doctor having the medication ready to switch with I had to sit there for 1.5 hours, the day after surgery, with absolutely NO medication. The nurse that was appointed to me did nothing, and the only reason I got medication after an hour was because I was in so much pain another nurse walking by got me something.

Forth, after my wife came to pick me up when went directly to the pharmacy to get my prescription (which was called in). After going through the drive through we found out that the doctor didn't call in the prescription at all!!! So we had to track him down (another hour) in order for me to get something to help with the excruciating pain.

Fifth, after 2 weeks post surgery I was still having pain problems with the back of my knee and swelling everywhere. I asked for my prescription to be filled and he said NO that I did not need it. I am sorry, I am an honest person that works hard and I can tolerate pain; however when I doctor doesn't believe his patient then there is a huge problem.

WARNING . DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR! You can contact me if you would like and I will give you even MORE references that would suggest the same.

12.7.09 --> Just had my knee operated on for the second time. The doctor I went through stated that Eglevsky replaced my ACL at at a 12 oclock position and the holes in my knee bones did not line up. This is what cause my acl to tear again after just one year.

I do not rsuggest anyone use this doctor.
