Best mountain biking in Topeka city limits. Can get 8 miles without repeating. Some sharp climbs and technical sections of rocks and roots. Can get crowded on nice weather weekends. Best times are during week before 5:00. Several options for parking. At Governor's mansion from Fairlawn or boat ramp road from Sixth St. Also far west at KDWP office end of Wanamaker North. Great for trail running and hikes too. Family friendly and Geocaching around

This is the place to go in topeka for some outdoors fun. There is a nice paved area for a short walk and a woodsy area for hiking. I come here often to go on runs and to walk my dog.

This is truly a hidden gem for the State of Kansas. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a quiet getaway. The food, the staff, and the facility, top notch!!

The walking/biking trails are well maintained and the area is beautiful. We also managed to get in for a tour of the Governor's Mansion and I must compliment the volunteers who gave us the tour. They were all very polite, courteous and obviously enjoyed what they were doing.
