Such a great experience. The folks that run this place are taking good care of the cats. You can see the love and effort they put into the facility.

Good work by good people, but book a private tour or come early, we couldn't hear over the private group talking.

A wonderful non-profit rescue run by unpaid volunteers. I am so happy to visit and learn the stories of how their animals came to them. Very educational.

Such a cool place, if I could give more than 5 stars, I would! I suggest you come around feeding time if you want to see some excitement. Funny how big cats act just like domesticated cats near feed time lol. The volunteers are passionate about the cause they are supporting and despite some other reviewers complaints, I did not feel like they were being preachy in any way. The reality is that humans have taken over the big cats' habitats and their dwindling numbers are a direct result of choices we have made as a species. If my $8 helps awareness even in the tiniest amount, it is the best 8 bucks i have ever spent.

Soooo. The cats are great and I was hoping to actually learn about the animals themselves not the personal views of our tour guide. I personally don't agree with circus performing animals but our tour guide went on and on and on about how much we as a human race are terrible people. It was more the delivery of statements. For example she said "we got this tiger a couple years ago from a facility is South Carolina who also takes care of big cats. The usda told them this cat had to leave. Now I'm not saying they weren't taking care of them but she had worms." It was statements like this over and over again. Breeding isn't bad but. then she would state her opinion. Everything was it's not so bad but. so instead of learning facts about the tiger she was more interested in telling us what's bad about every other facility out there. Even said "you know when you go to the zoo and you have a really bad feeling when you leave, you know how you feel like you are a bad person?" Really?!? I understand we need to protect our large predators that's why we came thought we could support a good cause and learn more about larger cats. Then she turned around and talked about how they took cats to worlds of fun for a ride opening. How is that not exploiting? Would have rather been able to learn about ways we can help as opposed to telling us how everything else is bad. So the cats themselves a 5. The potential to lean about the animals 5. Supporting a good cause 5. Our tour guide with continually gripes and in depth complaints a 0.

I have been coming to Cedar Cover for almost 8 years. This is far better than the zoo. The voulanteers are so passionate and knowledgable about what they do. You get close to the animals and really get to learn about them. Great for all ages and inexpensive. Your admission goes to the sanctuary.

Cool place to visit. 6 tigers and numerous other cats. Easy parking. $8 per person is very fair.

What a wonderful place to see the world's big cats in their natural habitats without all the glitz of a full zoo. We loved our visit here and it really makes you feel for these big creatures. They are magnificent, beautiful, graceful, and we owe them everything we have to treat them with the utmost of respect - and that's what Cedar Grove does for them! The place is a true sanctuary for these cats (and wolves too)!!! And we highly recommend visiting Saturday before 3 for the 4pm feeding. Or before 1 for the 2pm feeding on Sunday. It's an unforgettable sight to see these beautiful animals get fed!! A+ experience!!

We also came across this hidden gem by chance. It is wonderful! Super inexpensive for the experience you receive. Animals look healthy and happy and it's clear the staff truly love them and enjoy their job. Facility is just the right size with a family owned feel.

The fam loved coming here! We live in Kansas City, Ks and not a lot of people know about this hidden place. They should advertise it more. We loved hearing about all the animals, how they are taken care of, rescued and the love they have for these animals. Everyone should come visit, the kids will not be disappointed!

My husband and my parents in-law went with me to this incredible place today. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was blown away. These people are very passionate about ALL the animals in the reserve. They share incredible stories about interactions with them and they are very knowledgeable about them as well. I love their enthusiasm for what they are accomplishing and the passion with which they carry out their mission. Cannot recommend them highly enough. My husband and I will definitely be coming back!!
