Really cool cave! They were good with the kids. One narrow space meant we couldn't take baby in a pack or stroller which was a big pain. Still, it was worth it and we would go again!
Tour guide was very knowledgeable and kid friendly. Do wish caves would have a rating system so you know about our strenuous it is before you go. This one had several steps back up out of but my 80 year old mother was able to handle them. She would not have wanted any more at one shot though.
An awesome time! Worth every dime we paid. We went on Easter and they had all kinds of stuff for kids.
Amazing place. Hadn't been since my 4th grade field trip. Been back twice this year. Once for their Easter weekend with glowing eggs everywhere. Looking forward to their next event. I love it when they have self guided tours to go st your own pace.
Definitely worth the trip to Cave of Mounds! A very intriguing, hour-long guided tour of the caves. Staff is always on-hand to answer questions and are very friendly and helpful. Lots to see! The entertainment doesn't stop at the caves though, there is an amazing souvenir shop that has a huge collection of different rocks to see and purchase. Highly recommend!
Wonderful time there with family, including a two year old. The hour-long tour was long enough for the adults to enjoy, but short and fun enough to keep the toddler interested and happy the whole time. We look forward to going back!
What a beautiful cave! Our family has visited throughout the years and we took our grandchildren for the first time. They loved seeing a cave and would like to go back someday soon. The tour guide, Matt, was very informative & kept the tour upbeat & fun.
The best cave visit ever and I have visited five. Guides took their time, answered questions, allowed photo opportunities. Knowledgeable about geology and formation of cave, pointing out minerals. Gift shop featured rocks and minerals mounted or jewelery. High quality large display samples. This place rocks literally!
How could this place BE any cooler?! We were on the last tour of the day on a Friday, so there were only 6 of us and the tour guide. Beer is available for consumption before or after your tour (depending on what time you get there) which was a nice bonus since we were thirsty tourists. The cave itself is just awesome, and our guide was enthusiastic and funny. We'll be back!
Very interesting place, cool to see the different rock formations and walk underground. Be aware, there are a number of tight and narrow spots on the tour that could be tough for some, but probably not. Worth the trip. Book ahead for groups of 10+, you get a good discount.
Great tour and guide. Lots of fun little things to explore outside of the caves. Cute shops with reasonable prices
Fun adventure for all ages. Cave tour was informative and beautiful. Loved sluicing for gemstones. Kids had a great time in the free dig zone. Would do it all again!
This is one of those places that you just have to see to appreciate. Their website describes the tour, activities, and things to see quite well. Check it out!
This place is amazing I was expecting it to be good but wow is the only word I have. The guide was great gave all the history and info u would need. It was pricey but we'll worth it.
Fun to see if you've never been to caves. Good for kids. But it's not as deep or have waterfalls like some other caves I've been to.
