This is a quiet little Campground nestled away with a beautiful stream running through it. There's nothing fancy here just ehat you need for a relaxing time. The staff is great friendly and willing to get you what you need. There is a 100 foot water fall short drive up the road definitely worth the time to go see

The owner was nice and helpful but this place is anything but a hidden gem. Do not let the positive reviews fool you like they did us. Pack dooe to door in someone's back yard is a better description.

6/5 stars. My boyfriend and I were on a camping Road trip through the south (were from wisconsin) we stopped at a KOA near by with plans of staying there but they didn't have girls over their fire pits (which we needed to cook) and it was stupid expensive so we went here instead. The staff were amazing Rick was super helpful and nice the place was beautiful and peaceful and quaint. They had little mini houses as one of their spots you could rent it and kids could stay in it. Super cute! The falls are a short walk up the road and so beautiful. You can do an easy hike to the first set of falls and then you can keep going and do a very difficult climb the rest of the way up the mountain to see the most beautiful place I've ever been to another waterfall. I will definely be driving all the way back to NC just to see those falls again.

Great place to stay over the weekend especially if you have children. There's a huge creek that all the kids played in. (I don't have kids FYI)
My boyfriend and I stayed 4 nights here (fri-mon) in the primitive campsite. The other campsites that aren't primitive are very very ridiculously close together, I would personally have not enjoyed that. However, we really enjoyed our stay there and the staff is friendly. The bathrooms aren't bad, they're usable but not the best. There is no venilation in the bathroom and no open windows so after showering it's super hot in there, you'll have to get out quick! - but the showers are nice enough to use.
Overall I'm happy I stayed here! And the Catawba falls is literally a 7 min walk from the campsite. Super cool place!

We stayed one night in the Gypsy cabin. Although it sounded enchanting, we should have just stayed in our tent. The cabin is gorgeous & unique, however, being it's shut up most of the time, it is musty & dusty. The AC didn't work. It was much cooler outside & we had no way of opening the window for fresh air. I believe the air mattress would have been more comfortable than the bed provided in the cabin.
The campground could become crowded if it were to be busy- the spots are close together.
It's family run & they are nice folks & helpful.
The creek runs through the camp & we thoroughly enjoyed exploring that.
We would love to go back someday; just gonna do the tent thing instead.

Cute little family owned campground right by Catawba Falls. We had to leave early but had a great experience. The bathrooms were clean and they brought the firewood right to our campsite. They checked on us throughout our visit to see if we needed anything and we're always helpful. Will definitely be back!

OK little campground. I was there off season, so everyone shared a bathroom. Tent sites are on top of each other. Cute Lil cabins.

First time staying here and had a great time! Stayed in one of the primitive tent sites by the creek which was a really nice distance from the rest of the sites. The owners were super friendly and accommodating! Also the showers/bathrooms were IMMACULATE. I've never seen a campground bathroom that looked that good.

I had a fantastic weekend stay here! The family that runs the place are the nicest people I've ever met. I forgot to pack a few things but they had everything I needed at the front office for very cheap. The campsites were pretty and the bathhouse was clean. Couldn't ask for more.
Along with a great place to stay, it's also down the street from amazing hike to Catawba Falls. I've done many hikes but this was one of the greatest.
If you're planning on spending any time in this area, I highly recommend doing the hike to the Falls and this campground is definitely THE place to stay!!
