Great state park with lots of wonderful trails for various skill levels. Crowded during the weekends and holidays but a lovely place to walk. Canyon loop is great.

The hike to Romero Pools starts slow but gets better and better towards the end. Nice pools for a picnic!

Take the hike to Romero Pools. The uphill climb is worth a dip in the cool water.

Ring up before hand to find out if you should reserve a spot in advance or if you can just show up and save the $5. The rangers are extremely helpful and will tell you if there are enough spots.

The Romero Ruin Interpretive trail is a short but really nice stroll with good views AND a gigantor 20+ foot Saguaro that will blow your mind.
