I love going to Cascade Springs! Just be sure to park in the lower lot unless you like to walk thru the desert terrain first. My husband is disabled so we go to the lower lot.
Beautiful place in a serene location. Last time we were here we saw a Moose! Although due to the normal high summer traffic seeing a Moose here is unlikely. We discovered that there are roughly 3,000 Moose living in Utah.
This place has a variety of very nice short hikes. It has public restrooms and plenty of parking close by.
Take advantage of the beautiful fall colors and visit this place in the fall. You won't be disappointed.
This place is absolutely gorgeous. Whether you go in the Spring, Summer, or Fall you can expect to have a beautiful walk around the springs. At the bottom you walk around a nice calm pond, while when you go higher it turns into a river with a beautiful waterfall just behind a bridge, and higher still is again a pond like area where the water actually comes from the ground. Definitely a good place to go with family or even as a romantic date.
Very great place for a romantic picnic. Beautiful natural spring. An entire river comes out of the ground in an area not much bigger than a large yard. It then cascades down into serene pools. Well kept boardwalks and benches to sit and take in the peaceful natural beauty.
Beautiful and serene, BUT the road to get there is extremely narrow and dangerous!
Too many large pickups make the drive up there too scary to maneuver. I won't go back unless the road is improved. I paid the fee to use the road... Utah, please use the $ to improve the road!
We were killing time and had to get from one end of the state to the other anyway so we took the scenic route. It was worth it. Steep roads but if you keep looking at the mountains and the view it's not too bad. We went on the nature trail and enjoyed seeing the beautiful views.
Most beautiful place. A natural aquifer that has most beautiful waterfalls that run over plateaus that are just amazing. The water is crystal clear and the sounds are beautiful to listen to. There is a parking lot and restrooms at the site. There's a dirt road to the location as well as a paved road from Sundance Mountain Resort. I plan to go back to do a picnic and spend more time at this beautiful location.
27 July 2017 - This was a beautiful place to visit on a Thursday afternoon during mid July. The temperature was 25°C during the hottest part of the afternoon. Very comfortable indeed.
The entire area is paved and easy to walk. A few areas have steps only, which means someone with a stroller or a wheelchair may need to backtrack to get to where when began the journey. However, the person can always go around the other way to see everything and then stop at the steps where the one turned around the first time. In other words, one can see everything even if riding a wheelchair or pushing a baby stroller.
It's a wonderful treat to see water coming up out of the ground.
The drive to reach this location is very beautiful also. One will see waterfalls and glaciers on these mountains.
This interesting geologic park is off the beaten path. It has interesting boardwalks through the property and well placed signs. Someone really liked making the signs. They are very thorough and say things like, "this is the most beautiful flower" and "if you touch this plant you will need to go to the hospital."
There was evidently a fire a few years ago and there is a info sign that tells about it.
There was no drinking water available when I went though it seems it may be available at other times according to the signs.
It was nice but once was enough.
It's worth the drive to get there. The springs are in impressively large and quite beautiful. Early mornings and evenings are good for wildlife viewing. Can get pretty crowded on weekends.
Beautiful! Stunning scenery and views. Great 0.6 mile hike that is perfect for families, especially young children. Paved trail but not ADA accessible after the boardwalk.
Cascade Springs is an interesting site. Water seeps from inside Mount Timpanogos where a vast quantity is stored. Water runs out all year long, although it gets pretty low in the summer. The area around the springs includes a paved path with stairs and small bridges. Walking the path does include some elevation change, but it's not too difficult. At the bottom of the springs, the water pools into small ponds. Supposedly, there are fish there but I haven't seen them. Still, it's a pleasant walk. There are two parking lots and both have restrooms. There are benches along the walkway but picnicking is not allowed. It's just a nice place to go for a walk. Plan on 30-60 minutes. Note: the road from Midway to the springs is not paved, so driving it is rough. The route through the Alpine Loop is fully paved.
It was beautiful and cool to see. It was a super easy and convenient walk. There were a lot of people there though so it wasn't very private but it was very pretty and very clean as well!
