As a collage artist, I assemble elements that appear to be unrelated, or may fit together in unconventional ways. My work consists of printed imagery; found objects, my own painting and photography. I create additional dimension by raising the image off the paper in a relief technique. This creates a completed puzzle that possesses an increased dimensionality both physically and conceptually.For the past several years my work has focused on fairy tales and the exploration of the narrative within. Blowing the dust off these stories that fueled my childhood imagination, I revisit these familiar characters and their worlds once again. Stepping into their slippers, standing on the palace grounds with its isolated towers or falling down the rabbit hole, I follow them through their transformations and invite the viewer to join me.
