This was a bad experience on a 5 day cruise. On day two we were set to port at half moon cay (island carnival ownes). The port got cancelled and it was a beautiful day. So we were stuck on the boat another day. They gave us a revised itinerary that included nothing more than a bunch of trivia untill 7pm. Keep in mind everyone was up and awake at 7am to get ready to get off the boat. Everyone was mad and made for a really long dreadful day. Carnival offered us nothing except other ways to spend more money..we talked with multiple staff members and they informed us that this happeneds atleast twice a month at the same port. So you would think that they preped for this (they did not). Half moon cay was the only island (on cruise) that had an avaliable beach at no extra cost. At this time i had to change my excusion for nassau to one that was double the price just so we can see the beach. Due to the change we were rushed the whole day. Never had a chance to relax. The cancellation of half moon cay cost me an extra $200 and we didnt gamble or drink. I called carnival today (we got off boat yesterday) they basically said sorry for your luck try again. My wife had the same thing happen to her on the last cruise she went on with carnival. Carnival cruise lines have a problem but the customers are the only ones dealing with it. Pick a different cruise line you with be saved from stress on vacation
