Nice, spacious interior with your expected offering of books and amenities. There's a decent amount of tables with gorgeous view, letting in tons of natural light. There's also a lot of power outlets for those on laptops. However, parents seem to think this is good place for kids too young to read.
Best library in town. They have a great movie selection and they even have playstation 3 games. Cool Graphic Novels.
This was my first visit to Carnegie Library in Squirrel Hill and was so disappointed. The Library is certainly not hurting for money yet it was freezing. The bathrooms had urine all over the place and were filthy. What an atrocious experience in such an iconic Library establishment.
They have good atmosphere and good selection of books, and the people there so far have been nice.
This is a great place to sit and read and the library has a diverse selection of non-fiction/reference & fiction, and the children's library can't be beat. The best thing about this place are the huge windows in the front of the library. It's great to sit there in the colder months and get some sun while reading.
Tired of working or studying at home? Bring your stuff to the library and enjoy the view. It's one of my favorite places to work remotely. Other than that, the staff is great and very helpful.
This library has great librarians, especially in the children's section.
Great library. Very spacious, and a lot of parking!
They are very rich in collection and they have variety of reading corners throughout the floor. Love this library.
The reading area in great. It is comfortable and the all-window design makes it very pleasant specially in a sunny autumn day. It is generally quiet, and the staffs are very helpful.
Lots of light and resources. Easy parking!
Everything about Squirrel Hill, especially the library sucks. The staff sucks, the security sucks except the one cute security guard that's there on Mondays, everyone who uses the computer that's racist, homeless or just there everyday sucks. Don't go to that library. Go to the Oakland one, it's much better than Squirrel Hill
Absolutely wonderful selection of used books for sale. I never leave without a small stack in my bag.
Industrial feel. Can almost always find a nice table or lounge chair near the windows facing the streets.
