My family has been coming to Caramba for years and have always had good experiences. We have always left good reviews also. Today was not the best experience unfortunately. My daughter ordered A bean and cheese burrito and got a beef burrito instead. It was an easy fix, they remade it right away for her. I ordered a chicken burrito and my chicken was called as well as the enchilada sauce. So I wasn’t really happy with this experience.
Additionally, something that really made me a bit nauseous, I saw employee wiping out chip bowls with a towel rather than washing/sanitizing them. The same employee took the chip bowls and emptied them out over the garbage, sometimes hitting it on the garbage can to get everything out. Pretty sure that is against health code.report this review -

Love love love love love this place. Giant caramba is AWESOME, love their carne asada, chips and salsa bar are premium. Try their breakfast if you haven't, it's reeeeally good.

If you're looking for fancy appearances, go elsewhere. This place may look humble but the food is very good. The fish tacos and their own salsa are excellent.

Not Consistent! Sometimes the portions are much smaller than the week prior for the exact same thing. On the weeks where they have skimped on portion size it is an obvious size difference and the small portion is not even a meal size. Really frustrated with this location. The inconsistency has been going on for sometime. My roommate notified the lady there and she said it is always the same. This is far from true. I have photos and would have posted but I just changed phones and don't know yet how to get then off the cloud and back to my cell phone to then post. From now on will visit alternate location. I really have given them many many chances. now I am so fed up that I decided to post to let others know. I did read in another review that someone also notice this smaller and inconsistency with the portion size.

A neighborhood go-to place. Giant Caramba burrito and horchata is always good when I come. Margaritas are famous here.

We love this place..we are shorts and t-shirt kind of people and we enjoy the fast service,great food and the margaritas are the best! We will miss this place when we move next year..but will be back plenty before we leave.

How can you beat a 5.23 dollar margarita that has you on your ass? Guarantee you cannot handle four of these. If you do, you are a true champ to the world.
Aside from the phenomenal margaritas, the food always has you asking for more food! Authenticity at its best!

Best Mexican in Arizona! The owner john is usually around to make sure everyone is happy and the employees are always friendly and take pride in remembering guests and their favorites! The food is fresh and the margaritas are amazingask for the purple one!

Excellent Mexican food. Prices are very reasonable. I recommend the margarita. Our favorite dishes here are: carnitas, fish tacos, and chorizo plate. Service is very fast. The salsa bar is a great idea. Everything was fresh and well prepared.

I moved here a while back and saw this restaurant, and It was always busy, so I wanted to try some food here. Today was the day, and I am so disappointed. The food is below average. I bought two combination plates. Green Chile burrito with beef, and chicken tacos. The green Chile burrito taste like the green Chile was out of a can. Very bland flavor, and below average. I would say it got a D grade. The beans are not good either. Generic store brand canned beans are just as good, and Rosarita brand are better. I always judge a Mexican restaurant with the quality of their beans. The chicken taco was okay, and the rice okay too. Else, I would have only given one star. I will not be going back to Caramba again. I will stick to the 24 hour Mexican restaurants and Del Taco. Del Tacos beans are always fresh and their green chile is way better. Wow I cannot believe so many people are always eating at this place. I suppose it is because they serve alcohol.

We live it. American style Mexican food that tastes amazing. Good prices for the large portions. Open dinning room and large outdoor seating area. Plus they opened up a bar that is open to the restaurant now. Great bar feel and festive! The owner and staff are always great !!!
