Had a really nice stay at the Capitol Plaza. Parking seemed a little crowded. They have a great restaurant and a bar area. The room was clean well capped maintenance seem to be a top priority everything seem to be in order. Extra pillows are available upon request. They even have an area downstairs where you can buy Necessities that you may have left behind as well as a little area. The bed was comfortable and sheets were clean and crisp.

Beds are doubles in the 2 bed rooms... Would much rather prefer queens. Breakfast was good; however, Service was a little slow and it was a little pricey at 13 PP for the buffet. Room cleanliness needs work. Night clerk on the 12th of April 2018 was out very attentive or helpful. We checked in around 9pm and he said I need ID and cc then handed me the keys and said have a good night. No mention of amenities, elevator location, room location, luggage carts, or even a welcome.

Do not think I would stay here again.

Pet friendly hotel, that's why I give it 5 stars. 95% of the reviews you read are accurate. Very friendly staff, dated but clean rooms, noise travels up from main level, but not much to really complain about. If you're looking for a $200/night experience, you're not gonna get it, but then again you're not paying $200/night. I'd stay there again, and if you travel with pets, this is one that truly welcomes pets.

There was an issue with my reservation, that's not the hotels fault, but it was frustrating. The receptionist didn't help. Trinity was her name, she has absolutely zero customer service skills. I don't even know how she got past the interview. With any issue, she rolled her eyes. She called me over with a "psst" sound instead of using my name. And she knew my name because my reservation was sitting right in front of her, it was just faxed in. The carpet throughout the hotel is taped down. Also, there is a large amounts of dust underneath my nightstands. I have physically written the word "dust" in it. I will definitely not be staying here again, and it all cost you should avoid this place. The Motel 6 is better...

All the staff were very professional and explained what was going on with our card. He told us what was there and around the hotel. The room was amazing and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and tidy. The restaurant was a bit pricey but it was well worth the money. It was an all around amazing place.

A very positive and refreshing stay. Everyone polite and helpful. The food delicious and priced well. Room clean and fresh. The best stay I've experienced in my 40 years of traveling as a civilian and 20 military.

Amazing customer service! Exceptional food! Very Elegant hotel! Fast elevators! We stayed there for three days and every time we would leave to attend our meetings our rooms would be clean when we returned. Fresh towels...everyday. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Topeka but the Capitol Plaza. Breakfast delivered to your room! Wonderful fitness center! The list goes on!

First time my wife and I stayed there. Driving up the lawn and appearance of the place was very appealing. Walking into the lobby with its large atrium I thought I was in one of Trumps hotels.
Included was a bar and restaurant. I was very impressed and would stay there again....

It was a fairly nice hotel. The first one I have been in where the shower drained correctly. Housekeeping didn’t even make the bed tho. I didn’t want towels or bedding changed but that surprised me. Rooms were nice. Hot tub didn't bubble at all. Would have been a nice one if it worked. Needs new carpet, a lot of taped seams in the halls. Rooms were nice tho. Typical.

We stayed here for a quick stopover during a cross country road trip. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean, and the staff was courteous. For the price I was very impressed. The restaurant and pool looked very nice, although we did not have time to check them out ourselves. We would definitely stay again if we are in the area!

Had a good experience. Pool area was nice, breakfast was good, and rooms clean. Staff was great. Only thing that was not great was the shower head didn't move and tub leaked or something. There was water on the floor. Other than that, it was good.

We had Easter brunch at the capital Plaza restaurant and were extremely disappointed. We were there not long after noon. The food was picked over with minimal restocking. Nothing was particularly great either. Needless to say, $50 later for the extra "special" extra cost brunch we will never be back. We spoke with the manager and informed her of the issues. She was very dismissive and refused to even reduce the cost to the normal rate. There was absolutely no difference between the special brunch and the regular Sunday brunch..possibly was worse than usual Sunday brunch. Do not waste your time for the regular brunch, let alone the "special" Easter, Mother's Day etc. brunches. Worst $50 we have ever spent.
