Upon walking into the store no one greeted us..We were in the store looking and not one person said anything to us. We were in there for at least 15 minutes. There were several.workers sitting at their desks working on the computers. Again no one even looked at us. We must have been invisible!
One of the greatest lighting showrooms in Columbus. Extensive selection and friendly staff.
Went to Capital Lighting after looking for semi-flush ceiling lights in the big box stores and online. When I walked in, I was greeted by two salespeople who provided tremendous customer service. Debbie explained the layout, suggested options, gave me some tips, then suggested I do a couple of walks around the store to get a sense of my options. When I was ready to order, McKensey checked inventory and ordered a couple of units not in stock. I left with the two that were, happy to have discovered Capital Lighting. Prices are competitive, salespeople are smart and attentive, and lots of lighting options.
Sales employee was nice, management is rude and condescending! Don't waste your time here. We were stuck because our new home builder for some reason uses Capital Lighting. Buy your lights on the net is 30% cheaper for the same lights.
This place has horrible customer service. I have been there twice and each time I was completely ignored. I tried waiting at the desk area and no one even bothered to acknowledge my presence. Save your money & time - go to Lowe's or Home Depot.
NEVER pay cash for anything here. My husband and I returned an unopened light fixture over 2 weeks ago that we paid for in CASH. We were told that they did not keep cash in the store and that their accounting department would have to cut us a check, but they couldn't cut the check on site we would have to wait until the end of the month and then the check would be cut. Well, here we are in mid-July They have their light fixture and they STILL have our $200 cash. I called today and spoke to customer service who informed me that our check has not yet been cut but that it will be in 2 more days. This is the worst business practice I have EVER seen. I have never been in a retail establishment that would not provide an immediate cash refund for a cash payment. If you are willing to accept cash as a form of payment, then you should be prepared to issues a cash refund. Obviously, this is within reason. I don't think expecting that a store would have $200 cash on hand is unreasonable at all. We will never purchase anything from this store and I have made sure to let all my friends, family, neighbors and co-workers know about our experience with Capital Lighting.
.worse place to buy anything! customer service is so poor and not only that when you're inside they make you fell your not there. I' have warned you folks, restoration hardware here I come!!! all employees are jerks specially the ladies HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE
Terrible customer service from John. When the company screws up, own the mistake, apologize and try your hardest to fix it. Throwing your hands up in the air and telling me "I'm not the manager, I'm not the owner" just illustrates why he isn't and probably why they should rethink John being someone representing their company. I've never felt so disrespected by a company before in my life. Unfortunately a negative experience that will stick with me for a long time. What a shame.
