Cans for camp was started in 2009 By Effie Tripp at the age of 9. Effie seen the need to help kids go to church camp in the summer time she started by saving cans and then in 2010 she also started hosting a car wash all money is used to help send kids to church camp. The cost to send a kid to camp is from $100.-$135.. Cans for camp helps about 45 churchs acrose Kansas about 450 kids atend the camp every year cans for camp goal is to help about 20-40 kids a year.
