I rented an apt from these people. I had a horrible time making ends meet while attending school and working at Outback Steakhouse during a recession. I got behind in rent and wasn't able to keep my lease and moved back home. When I returned to move my things the most valuable possessions I had were stolen and the rest of my things were put in a storage unit that wasn't protected from the weather or animals. They got even with me I guess but this was far from the treatment I would expect from any professional organization or business. Especially when dealing with a student. When I returned to pick up my gun I owned legally I found that the family members of the men who ran the apartment complex were spying on me and lying about who I had at the apt in an attempt to extort more money from me. As well as making it difficult for me to retrieve my gun from the sheriff dept, saying I was running a drug house. Which must explain how I also had no money to pay my bills and why I was driving back and forth to Outback Steakhouse for $15-25 a day to get money for food and gas. I was broke but these ppl are classless.
I have lived in Campus West for the past 3 years, and have never had any problems with the management. They are all very kind(especially Betsy) and has always provided exemplary service. She knows my roommates and I by name, and always has a smile on her face. I had some problems with my wifi for a little bit, but after the 2017 update, we have had no issues. Maintenance has always came on the same day we sent in a request and are also very kind. 10/10 would recommend.
Spent three years there and I loved it! Very helpful and friendly staff! And free cookies!
Lived in the newer apartments and they are nice inside, but the walls are paper thin. I can hear everything my neighbors are saying next door and below. I ended up not being able to sleep in my room for more than half of the year cuz the neighbors were so loud throughout he night. If you can, find a place with better walls because it's just not worth it.
Great three and a half years with these guys. Some people will leave bad reviews because they damage the place and don't know how to fix it, so they leave it to the busy maintenance crew. Just like any other apartment complex, they are going to charge you to repair everything so it's nothing different in that aspect. As far as price and location for the bus routes, perfect. Along with being on the cheaper side of the apartment complexes in the area, I'm not sure there is a better deal for the summer if you are resigned for the following year. Staff is extremely friendly and knows how to make the best cookies you will ever have, and the maintenance is good about getting to you to fix anything that goes out during your stay. If I went back to freshman year when I was deciding where to live for the next year, I would do it all again with CW.
I had nothing but a great experience at Campus West during the 3 and half years I lived there. The apartments are among the cheapest you can find in Allendale (if not the cheapest) and they are a good size. They are the best located off-campus apartment and I really liked that both the 37 and the 48 stop there. You never have to wait long for a bus. The greatest part about Campus West for me though is the wonderful office staff. They are all very friendly, knowledgeable and always helped me out when I needed it. They were nice enough one summer to move all my belongings between apartments because I was out of the state and unable to find people to do it for me. They also have a lot of events that offer free food (cookies, hot dogs, burgers). I would highly recommend Campus West to anyone!
The apartments have been the lowest in price for all the places around GV, the size of the apartments are nice, and the location is great! I really like that they have two bus stops to campus. The office staff have always been friendly and helpful throughout the year that I've lived here, answering any questions I had about my lease or rent. They were really accommodating when I decided to study abroad for a semester and needed to sub-lease my room. Also, the maintenance staff have been great with any problems my roommates or I have had. So happy I made the decision in living here that I signed for another year.
