This is pretty much my favorite Cambridge pub. Their special entrees are almost always exactly what I want and I love their special drinks!
This is easily my go to bar for being outside of Boston. The perfect place for meeting with friends for grabbing dinner and drinks and getting away for just a little while. I'd totally recommend the breakfast all day burger. Also not a bad beer selection either.
The beer is great. The service was prompt and attentive. The food was high end pub grub. I had the grain bowl with chicken and it was tasty
Then food is great and the beer selection is extensive. Everyone who works there is extremely friendly and they have outdoor seating in the warmer months. Can't go wrong!
Delicious sirloin tips and mashed potatoes. Drinks are good and very reasonably priced. I come here regularly and would recommend it to anyone who needs some comfort food and a relaxing dinner.
Had excellent blackened fish tacos here - great balance of flavour, perfectly cooked. Enjoyed the lemonade. On my previous visit I shared great buffalo wings but I have had better sliders elsewhere. Recommend a visit for sure.
Ugh when I am hungry I eat. And forget to photograph.
I go here often with a group of friends. We call ahead as a large group. Service is always friendly. Food is good quality. Portions a little on the larger size, though not too much for most to be able to finish. Normal American bar food with a selection of changing specials.
We stopped here on a whim. Immediate first impression - it was excessively noisy which was further compounded by the fact that they seated us directly under a speaker which was playing music at an obnoxious volume. While we entertained the thought of going elsewhere - we decided to give the place a chance.
My companion had a bowl of chowder and the salmon special which he raved about. I had the buffalo cauliflower appetizer and the crispy cobb salad, which didn't require dressing because it was so tasty.
While we might have preferred the music not to be blaring in our ears the whole meal - the food was so good that this place earned my five star rating.
Beer: 5/5. Large, diverse selection of good beers that changes often. Good place to discover new favorites.
Food: 4/5. Not remarkable, but still pretty yummy and better than standard bar food.
Atmosphere: 3/5. Cozy. Usually crowded, 20+ minute wait for a table. Crowd is not obnoxious. Service is fine.
Location: 4/5. 10 minute walk from Harvard Square.
Price: 4/5. Expect light meal, 2 beers, and tip to be $30-40 per person.
Excellent rare beer selection and incredibly nice staff. I'm definitely going back! Oh yeah, the food was awesome too.
One of my favorite restaurants in Cambridge. Straightforward but delicious pub-style food and a great beer selection. They have a dedicated parking lot in the back. There are TVs on one side of the bar but not the other, so you can pick if you want to be sporty or not.
This is a great choice if you're accommodating a whole bunch of different tastes. The menu is expansive so everyone should find something they like. It's slightly fancier than normal pub food and they have beer flights.
Food's good and there's a decent beer list. Worth noting is that they do have some vegetarian options.
Good service, truly lousy food even for a student-focused restaurant and bar. The turkey burger is grey and unappetizing. The veggie burger was actually cold (not even room temperature!) and seems held together with an odd cheese-based solution.
To be clear, I am not comparing this restaurant against premier offerings and therefore giving it 2/5. I'm comparing it against other student-focused offerings. Do not order food here--and if you do, do not order the turkey or veggie burgers.
