Had a few small leaks in one place. They suggested I have the channels and valleys redone and repair the one small place it leaked. They came out to work and the inexperienced worked broke tiles all over my roof. It rained a few days later and the entires ceiling in one of our bedrooms caved in. They broke tiles around the chimney and over our back porch which has leaked and gotten moldy even since. They did so much damage that the roof could not be repaired and I had to have the entire roof replaced at a cost of $50,000. This roof was heavy concrete Spanish tiles that should have been treated with care. The workers were careless and inexperienced. If I had not lost two family members at the same time, I would have taken them to court. The owner was nasty about fixing the problems they made. This roof was strong and had no problems for 40 years until this company came out. An inspector said it should last 75-100 years. Until this company came out. Worst experience of my life.

Not only did Cal-Vintage come two days after a massive storm, they did excellent work and honored their quote even though the work was so much more difficult due to the storm. Their service person Robert was friendly, courteous and thorough. Even their admin staff were super friendly over the phone. Eight months later, they came back and honored their warranty by assisting with a couple of spots. Amazing service - highly recommend.

Replacing a roof is an intimidating project, especially as a homeowner, but Cal-Vintage eliminated most of the worry up-front with the information, references and all of the detailed information provided, helped us through the final product selection process (colors are a big deal!), and then with their communication from pre-start "what to expect" list, all the way through to the final inspection they all proved that they do what they tell you they will do.
Eric was very helpful, cooperative (and patient) during the contracting process, including making a couple of trips to our home with samples and to discuss some options, and Martin was very thorough to explain the construction schedule for the replacement process. He also checked in regularly to see not only how the crew was doing, but if there were any problems or issues that we needed to bring up (which we didn't).
Every day, from old roof tear-off though installation of the new roof and gutters, the crew cleaned up everything every day before leaving, and considering the size, pitch and complexity of the project, Cal-Vintage Roofing did a FANTASTIC job.
We have had a few neighbors stop by to comment on the new roof and the way the crew attacked the projected each day, and I have had no problem in recommending Cal-Vintage, Eric and Martin for any roofing projects or repairs that friends and neighbors have mentioned.
Thank you again, Cal-Vintage for doing exactly what was promised.

Cal -Vintage completely re-roofed our 4,000 sq ft home, including demolition, additional structural support and detailed concrete tile laying for a very challenging steep pitched roof. We're very pleased with the end result and the quality of work performed. Throughout construction Cal-Vintage kept us informed and handled minor problems as they arose. Would highly recommend.

Called several different roofing companies in the Sacramento area to set up estimates, including some the larger more visible names. I also received a recommendation from a neighbor to call a local family owned company, Cal Vintage.

Was surprised to see some of these companies didn’t even follow up with an actual estimate and were underwhelming in their professionalism.

However, the estimator for Cal Vintage, Tony, not only delivered an estimate but went above and beyond with multiple estimates that included detailed descriptions of what they offered and the benefits of each product and service. He offered to answer any questions I had. The clarity and professionalism set them apart from the beginning. This professionalism and service continued throughout the entire process. They made it easy with each step and each employee I had contact with was very friendly and professional. I was told the job would take 4-5 days and they finished in less than 3 and left a clean job site. The quality of their materials, the workmanship, and the service were all excellent. I was very impressed with their operation and although I don’t anticipate any roofing needs for years to come, I would definitely use Cal Vintage again. I highly recommend them.
