  Welcome to my two biggest cake-decorating challenges: using red and black 😳😳😳😳🙈 if you’re a baker, you know that these colors tend to not play nice. They can taste a little funky, they like to bleed, and it can be hard to get the colors just right. @wiltoncakes gel food coloring made it a breeze to get crisp colors that don’t bleed! I also used Wilton #candymelts for my chocolate spheres on this cake which turned out just how I wanted them to. Happy almost Halloween 🎃🦇

  It’s official! We are adding to our family this April-ish! It’s been a rollercoaster year for us, and i am so appreciative of the grace and patience that my customers have given me. I’m taking a lighter-than-usual load in the next few months, as this pregnancy has been a little different this time! I will also be tentatively taking a maternity leave from late March until late July. I have many EXCELLENT referrals while I’m on maternity leave.   I had the pleasure of throwing a shower with Jennifer Morrell Adams and Jessica Adams for Kaitlyn Shaw Photography over the weekend! Check out these gorgeous pictures she took. Of course each guest had to have a Cakes by kramp mini cake adorned with a pistachio macaron and fresh florals, along with personalized cookies!

  Attention! Important announcement!

  Some of you may have noticed that my work has shifted pretty dramatically in the past year or so. I have been slowly working on rebranding- the process of defining the style and aesthetic that I’d like cakes by kramp to be associated with. My business goal is to specialize specifically in desserts that are elegant, beautiful and delicious. By creating desserts that fit my style and passion, I can ensure that the quality and design of everyt...hing that I produce is top notch.

  With all of this being said, I have decided to focus on orders that are consistent with my brand. I will refer out for themed cakes and desserts that are outside of my scope/brand. “Themed” cakes include products associated with popular media (marvel, kids shows, movies, etc.). I have added some pictures to this post of the style of desserts that I’d like to focus on from this point forward.

  My favorite part about working in the wedding industry is seeing the personal touches that make each wedding unique. This wedding season, one of my brides adorned each table with memorabilia of each place that she and her fiancé traveled to... another couple gave each of their guests a jar of jam that they had made themselves. Today’s wedding was adorned with 1000 beautiful paper cranes, a gorgeous metaphor perfect for a wedding 💍
