Good coffee but an odd atmosphere. When we visited it was really quiet and there were a lot of people hanging out that looked homeless. They all gave us a strange look. If the cafe would have had some music playing it wouldn't have seemed so creepy. Because otherwise the building had a cool funky feel to it.
For years, Cafe Tazza has been a sort of leaky ship that had the good fortune to be parked in the right spot. It was mysterious why she could never seem to get far away from port or find a guiding star. I was as surprised as the next guy in line when I got a PERFECT Americano served by a genuinely friendly person. It's warm and inviting in there now. It's a place you can be comfortable at. Everybody knew the old girl was proud and seaworthy if the right captain would just take the helm.
Delicious espresso drinks that you can customize anyway you like. The staff is all wonderful and very helpful. They even offer traditional Italian-style macchiatos! I love that they have different varieties of milks to choose from. Very good for people with allergies and vegans alike.
Tazza is a funky kind of Coffee House - featuring local Art on display - where the locals hang out - and tourists wander in - great Wi-Fi - great drinks and food. Sometimes music played at coffee houses can be overdone and distracting - but at Tazza its not like that - its a fun place to hang out for an afternoon - quiet - with a garden like back entrance. I would recommend this place to friends.
We have now been into Cafe Tazza twice. They were out of the iced coffee as advertised on the menu. The employees, though willing to serve, at first pay very little attention to customers entering or attempting to order. They only accept cash, so come prepared with cash. Though their wifi is free, there are few electrical plugs. The electrical plugs that are there are in poor condition.
