So we decided to not cook for thanksgiving and go out instead to cafe baci..so we ordered turkey special and I ordered the grouper dinner and fried calamari..my fiance ordered meatball wedding soup boy it was horrible..no seasoning no flavor what so ever..then we had the calamari..and it was overcooked too crispy we sent it back..i had grouper for $32 and when we got it..it was just a tiny piece of grouper thrown on a plate w the worst salty black seasoning sent it back..my fiance ordered turkey special..then they had no mash potatoes left and no cranberry sauce..the most horrible food of my life and we w never be back here again..ever!! The only great there was the sangria
There are now 10 specials before 5 pm. You can choose just the special for 10$ and for $17 you get 3 course. Try the Flounder. Simply one of the best prepared fish I have EVER had. I had to send Kudo's to the chef...it was THAT good. Go try it. If you don't like fish, there are ample other choices...but if you try that flounder, you will forevermore love fish. wow!
Wonderful evening. We were greeted like family (our second visit) and at home immediately. Our meals were amazing (shrimp scampi and encrusted sea bass) and the service was attentive but unobtrusive. We will be back to Baci!
The food wasn't worth the price. I pass this place everyday and finally I tried it. It was gross. The place was nice and the server. It's about the food for me. I wouldn't recommended.
Memeber of a group that meets here monthly, wait staff is warm yet unobtrusive, accommodates our group exceptionaly well. Especially love our favorite server Henry!
Great menu, excellent chef, wonderful service. Best Italan restaurant in the bi-county area.
Unusually good steady classical place. The thing I've like best is the quiet and the expectation that you will go home feeling content and comfortable.
The Italian food is good plentiful meets all expectations and is not pricey.
It's one of the best moderately expensive Italian restaurants in Sarasota! It has the touches of fine dining like an excellent wine and liquor selection, yet it is not the least bit pretentious. The staff is conscientious, competent, extremely accommodating and very very friendly. We went on Easter Sunday and the menu was expanded with exquisite specials rather than reduced as is the menu of many restaurants on holidays. I had a generous rack of lamb cooked medium rare perfectly, just as I ordered. The vegetables were crisp, the appetizers very good but what took the cake literally was an excellent ricotta caramel cheesecake, prepared in house by a very competent chef, as differentiated from a cook. My Cognac and wine were excellent as was the authentic espresso. It is a regular restaurant of mine and I would recommend it to anyone without reservation. Not incidentally, this restaurant has half booths and an excellent clean wheelchair-accessible restroom. They are accessible in Attitude as well as in architecture.
Great food and service. A bit pricey for lunch.
8 for dinner. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Service was excellent.
Big meals, cheap ingredients. Mussels were overcooked. Waiter promised that one of the dishes has no sugar - but the meal was unbearably sweet. Alfredo languiny was too greasy and heavy. We are pretty sure the seafood is frozen. Prices - way to expensive for frozen fish and cheap ingredients. Not recommended!!!! When we complained the waiter was rude and not nice anymore.
Nice selection, reasonably priced, pleasant staff, busy and popular yet calm atmosphere. We'll prepared and presented, not like one of those Italian themed chains. Suzanne, our waitress, was terrific. She even laughed at my jokes.
We visited this place for the first time this week and found it to be outstanding. My husband had the paste with Alfredo sauce and I had the Wild mushroom ravioli. We also had the calamari appetizer which was outstanding. They also make their own bread and bread sticks. We will be back!
