A fine dining affair in the Adirondacks. Such an eclectic menu, a true joy to surf. The servers and chef are SO accomodating and knowledgeable. The wine selections are fantastic and reasonably priced. I can't say enough good things about this mountain hideaway, secret getaway, priceless gem - they truly outshine their competition (if you consider they have any!!)

One of our favorite places to eat, food is amazing, anytime we have company we bring them here. A wonderful gem in the Adirondacks!

We love Cafe Adirondack! Their Bang Bang Shrimp is “to die for” and the chef’s specials are always good. Much of the food is “Low Country” southern fare and a treat for us northerners. The Cafe allows BYOB with a corkage fee of $4-5.00. It’s our go to place all year!

Great food and good portions. The combinations of entrees, vegetables and rice or potatoes are not your average run of the mill restaurant food. I especially love the Tuna steak with steamed vegetable dumplings and snap peas, etc.
My husband had the seafood combination. He really enjoyed it. I tasted a scallop and it was delicious!

Consistent, absolutely delicious meals. Comfortable atmosphere and friendly staff. Bang bang shrimp appetizer and she she crab soup are the best. My favorite restaurant!!

Incredibly sweet servers that really seem to care, traditional menu, cool atmosphere. Had the scallops, which were good - though the side of steamed veggies were excellent!

I am from NJ and I would make the 5 hour trip up here just for dinner. The bang bang shrimp is outstanding! I have never had a bad meal here. Every time we visit this area we have dinner here! Crystal is a fantastic waitress and has a terrific personality. The Kailua cake is amazing! I highly recommend this place!

Very good food at reasonable prices. Atmosphere a little funky, but the chef is top notch. Great dining experience. Only four stars because I'm comparing this to three star Michelin in France. Reservations a must.

    The good:
Nice warm welcome from an attentive host staff. Excellent She crab soup! Wonderful fresh bread! Perfectly cooked tenderloin steak with benaise sauce. Delicious fresh green bean & broccoli medley. Kids menu with a simple PBJ which my boys loved!

    The bad:
Table service is a bit slow. The Basil Tomato soup tasted like stewed tomatoes. Chicken Parmesan was huge and presented well, but was so bland we sent it back. Garlic mashed potatoes were too strong even for me, a garlic lover.

Worst meal we ever had. All the seafood was boxed and then deep fried so it came out dry and hard. I love good seafood and that was not it. On top of everything all the food that came out from the kitchen cold or barely heated. My husband's steak was rare and undercooked. He wanted medium. In my life I have never thrown out seafood but that is right where it went. The garbage. They need to call chef Ramsey to help them. I bet he would have the same opinion.

The Red Lobster of the Adirondacks. The food is edible, no doubt about it, and it's acceptable in a caloric-needs sort of way. But it's not reservations-worthy food (and 90% of the time, you need a reservation to get a table). The bread is commerical-quality, the food comes out in large portions and hot, no alcohol sold (though they are working on their permit). It's diner-quality food, but service is good and the people friendly.

She-crab soup and bang bang shrimp are a must! All the entrees we have tried have been amazing as well! Peanut butter pie and chocolate chip bread pudding are the best too!

The food was mediocre; service was excellent. As of July 2017, there is no beer/wine licence and, due to local law, patrons can no longer bring their own. Most of the dishes that we (a party of 8) were served seemed to be what you'd expect of a diner rather than a high-end restaurant - tasty, but nothing that you couldn't make just as well at home. The coconut fried shrimp, ale battered shrimp and crab cakes all tasted like the prepared frozen ones you'd get from a supermarket. Contrary to the menu description, the crab cake seemed to be made entirely of claw meat - the cheapest grade of crab - rather than the lump crab that was promised. The béarnaise sauce looked and tasted like it was from a can and had an unnatural day-glow orange color that could not have come from butter and egg yolks.

Love this place, it's our go to when we're in the area. Crystal and Jess are awesome, always so warm and welcoming. Bang bang shrimp and she crab soup, say no more.

This place has been our favorite since the day it opened. First time they fed two very hungry hikers. Thanks Crystal.

Food is delicious. We particularly loved the She-Crab soup. We will try to get back soon.
