  Pretty good overall. Met a friend for dinner here, his suggestion since I was coming in from out of town. Very fun atmosphere, loved the decor. We sat at the bar. Bartender/waiter was very friendly and responsive. Drinks were great (Bourbon old fashions and spotted cow). Was disappointed that spotted cow was not on tap but that could just be a seasonal thing or something (again, out of towner). I wasn't overly impressed by my food but my friend really enjoyed his meal. He has the calamari app and jambalaya. I had the Brussel sprouts app (which was not as flavorful as I would have liked them to be) and the Sausage and Sweet Potato Mash (maybe just not what I was expecting but good). Of note, the Sausage had a bit of spice to it that I wasn't expecting, if you are sensitive to things like that. I honestly liked it enough to go back and try other options for food to give it another shot.

  Our family, in-laws included, all go here for Easter Sunday brunch every year. They haven't let us down yet. We all have a great time. Excellent service. Excellent Atmosphere. Most importantly its excellent, delicious food! Kids will be entertained by the activities sheet on the kid's menu, the nearby river and nearby train tracks.

  Megan M was very attentive and an awesome waitress! She came by just enough and was fun. The food was amazing. We based our trip to Milwaukee on eating here again, and you did not disappoint! Thank you!

  Stopped here for brunch with friends and family before we went off with our planned activities for the day. They were able to seat a large party of us (8) almost immediately without calling ahead. The staff there were very friendly. Our server, although busy with other tables as well, made sure to check up on us. I had the cinnamon french toast, and it was by far some of the best I've ever had. All around no complaints for our entire table, and it was all for a great price as well! Great place to come and visit anytime they are open.

  Amazing burger. Cant wait to go back and try the other menu items. Ol smokey is simply a mouth full of good. I was shocked when I first bit into it. Hands down, all-time best hamburger I've ever had. Worth every bit 15 and would pay 20 if had to. Really is that good .

  I have visited this restaurant a few times now, and the food is very good. I really liked the cheese curds and the dipping sauces are out of this world.
  Staff is very friendly and attentive. Great beer selection and awesome atmosphere. I will definitely be coming back.

  I was very fond of Cafe Hollander until my recent visit where I was seated outside near the door to the main entrance. The staff uses the area as a main walk way to seat new guests and to service the guests. It's extremely uncomfortable and was asked to move because I was seated in the way attempting to enjoy my meal. Instead I was asked to move constantly for convenience while trying to eat my meal. Management thought I was being unreasonable because I want to sit where they sat me at a table. Highly disappointed in a restaurant that I held in high regards.
  A local resident this will be addressed as a business issue.

  Good alcohol, there is a TON of it to choose from... Food is pretty good, but this place is more of a bar than a restaurant. The table service was however not the best, and we felt forgotten about at times.

  The food was amazing. Total extasy! Our waitress however was less than desirable. The other wait staff was very good as they attended to their tables. I would definitely eat here again . Just hope I get one of the better waitresses/waiters.

  Went here once last summer and it was great. Went here again a few weeks ago and the food wasn't as great but still decent. It was the service that was mainly the issue. The server had a bit of an attitude from the time we were greeted. We asked for coffee with milk, not creamer. She brought it out and brought this tiny little jug (maybe an inch and a half tall) of milk. She said she hates to waste and most of the time people don't use all the milk so she just brought out this portion but if we needed more she would get it. Well my mom and I rashioned it out between ourselves and wanted more but with her attitude we didnt want to ask for anything. She could clearly see it was empty when she came back and never offered to get more.....that was just the beginning of our meal...before the food. That said, I've been here a few times and the service was fairly good but that girl just ruined this location for me.

  Awesome beer and spiked coffee selection
  Stuffed salmon was also very tasty. The Dutchman's fish boil is literally boiling - way too hot and poorly seasoned. I wouldn't recommend it

  It's a good place for a beer and appetizers. Decent breakfast and a good bloody. Dinner is fine, but over the years the place has ultimately been hit or miss. It can often be worth 4 stars, yet I just came back from a 3 star experience.

  Great place for lunch and breakfast. Best Sweet Potato Frites in the city. The staff is very chill and also very helpful if needed. For someone with different serious food allergens, the chef and staff always makes sure to not have any cross-contamination either. Great scenes and views as well!

  Menu is good, but after years of coming here it would be nice if there was a rotating menu.
  The Biers!! Oh my goodness, what a selection! Mostly Belgian, a good selection of Trappist biers.
  They took away the Holy Bier Bible! This is why I could only give them 4 stars instead of 5.
  Try all of the Lowland restaurants though, they know a thing or two about bier!!!

  Fun place to have a beer at and catch up with a friend. The food is decent and reasonably priced. Service has been pretty good the few times I've been here. Definitely worth a try.

  Café Hollander is one of my favorite spots to eat and grab a drink in the Milwaukee area. Their beer selection is enormous, and it's a fantastic spot for brunch. Dinner does not disappoint, either. There is sometimes a wait, but it is usually not very long, as there is plenty of available seating.

  Some of the best burgers and certainly the top Belgian beer list in town. We love the atmosphere and the food here. If burgers aren't your thing they add to that with a surprisingly creative and delicious menu for a place that presents itself as a brewpub.

  If I could give zero stars I would. Terrible experience at this Café Hollander. I went to have a couple of drinks with a friend, asked the bartender to explain the pricing on a menu item. She specifically stated to me that if a double shot of something is 'X' amount then a regular single shot of the same item would be half the amount of 'X'. The tab came up and was not what she stated to me before purchasing the shots. As I was trying to explain to the manager what occurred and on steps to rectify the situation the bartender then proceeded to berate me while in front of her manager. The manager stated nothing to the worker and acted as if everything was okay. Never going back to this establishment again and I recommend you do not as well.

  I live down the street and used to eat here fairly often-- the food is pretty good and the beer list is amazing. That said, the service lately has been mediocre at best (especially if you get sat upstairs) which is too bad because I really like this place. Cafe Benelux, their sister restaurant in the 3rd ward, has consistently better service and just as good of food and beer-- so I'm not sure why this place can't replicate. Hopefully it's just a temporary thing.
