On occasion takes time to get sat at a table when there is clearly tables available (not in reserved areas). Service can be slow as the ratio of servers to tables is low at least during busy hours. Food is mediocre and at times inconsistent. If you sit under the shelter expect to feel cramped especially when it's busy. It feels like they try to pack too many tables into the space. At least that's my opinion.
What really stands out about this place is the location. Sits right on the river for great view. Absolutely great atmosphere especially if you can sit on the lower area closest to the river. Summer evenings are great here.
Overall I'm going to eat here again at some point, I just wish the food would improve slightlyresponse / report this review -

Great open restaurant on the river with views of the Kentucky hills. Decent beer selection and huge food proportions. It gets really crowded during the dinner rush, but plenty of seats for hanging out while you wait. Service is slow due to the crowds but this place is more about hanging out on the river, so if you are patient and not starving you can't really ask for a better setting to hang out with friends and family.

Love this place! Just as the name says, it's right on the river with a great view. You can sit at tables under roof (which is all open so you can feel the breeze) or you can sit outside under umbrellas. I was surprised of how big the bar area was with lots of selections. The staff was very friendly and right on our order. One of us ordered a burger (it was huge) and I ordered the salmon with rice, pineapple salsa and a roll. It was very good and cooked perfect! The other two ordered 2 different kinds of fish meals and they said it was good as well. We will be going back soon. Also, this is a great place to bring the family.

Don't expect super fast service-this place is on "island time", and that's a good thing. The food is good to very good. Nice drink and beer selection. Nothing fancy, just a laid-back taste of the tropics. Relax and enjoy the views.

There's usually always a wait (30 mins average) but they have 2 bar areas for you to order drinks and appetizers as you wait, along with seating and tables up for grabs. The entire atmosphere is outdoors with seating "inside" (covered) or "outside" on the deck. Smoking is permitted by the outdoor bar and waiting areas, which is not near the actual dining area. The lively atmosphere and location is great . Good place for families, date night, or groups. Handicap accessible, some table areas are close together but can easily be moved. Food is always good and is in the "medium" price range. There is a live band on some nights which makes for an even better experience on the river. Dining area/bars/restrooms are always very clean and well kept. This is definitely a place to try and enjoy.

Friends took us here for dinner and drinks.
First the good. Really, really good food. This place serves large portions of tasty food on polystyrene plates in an open air environment right next to the Ohio River. The drink prices are great too with a good selection of beer on tap or bottled. The staff are very friendly and want to make sure you have a good meal and great time with them. We did enjoy our time and the food was good.
Now the bad. Being open air, smoking is permitted. Being a non smoker I found the wafts of cigarette and cigar smoke annoying and distasteful. The law is the law, so there was nothing I could do about that.
The smoker's spoiled a good day out, so I can only give the place 3 stars because of that. A pity, because it would have ranked higher.response / report this review -

The steak was very tender and there was a lot of cavatapi pasta. The band that plays is pretty good too. My only complaint is the wait and the young girls that run the host stand. I'm sure they get hassled all the time about wait times. But if you are always the employee that is running the host stand you should have an idea of wait times on busy nights.

Love it on the River?? This is the spot for you!! We drive over 200 miles to get one of their hamburgers! 😀 The scenic view on the Ohio River is awesome as well. Barges carrying our food and fuel is a special sight to see!! Different 'live' bands play on the weekends. Also volleyball and corn hole is played!! I highly recommend it to others and my friends.

Great views and awesome local beer on tap. I'm sold! The menu is well rounded and sure to please everyone. My only complaint is that smoking is allowed at the tables.

Terrible experience. My first time going. A buddy and I went today and they were busy there was only one table open that sat 6 so we sit down and spit up the 2 tables. 5 minutes later another couple sits at the table next to us. 10 minutes later a waitress comes up and says you guys can't sit here, it's a rule people can't split tables. So the couple and my buddy and I left. What kind of company turns down money?
