It's fine, clothes are cool and priced about right. The staff is annoying, they were searching people's bags while we were there and followed my wife around watching to make sure she wasn't stealing. Loss prevention is one thing but not when it starts to become intimidating over a $15 shirt.
Make sure you triple check something before you buy it. I bought two dresses that ended up being damaged and had to take it back. All they give is in store credit which is fine, but they have a poor way of keeping track. I’m now out $31.00 because the dinky paper they gave me is lost. I know that’s my fault but really that’s the only way you keep track of money??
Have been buying here for a few years. Never know what your going to find. Items are always in excellent condition. Have sold here once before today. I took five items in to sell they were not interested in any of them as the buyer was giving the various reasons for not buying the items they were too this or too that. The funny thing is that after the nine million reasons for not buying any items I explained to the buyer that 3 of the items were purchased from here. Then there were 900 million sub category reasons LOL. Anyway I did purchase a very nice pair of awesome Rockport kickers and a lightweight North Face jacket for spring. This place is great....
Talk about a variety! Not just in clothes but the people who work there, as well as their customers.. I absolutely loved this place, they have a friendly staff and a huge selection of different styles and prices to fit everyone's budget!
However, I felt that they were not willing to buy my items that I brought in to sell because of the brands and we're kinda chintzy on what they offered me on the items they were interested in buying but hey... Can't complain when they're paying you up front instead of on a consignment basis!
I was cleaning out my closet and thought I would try taking some of my gently worn clothes to a consignment shop. I found buffalo exchange online. Overall great experience. They definitely sell more trendy/hipster clothes for younger people. They had a lot of Lush & H&M branded clothes which I liked. Overall a good selection. You can take your clothes in and they will price them & make you an offer on the spot, no appointment needed. They have me 50% of what they would sell my clothes for in store credit. So I gave up four items and bought two new things. Pretty good deal!
This Buffalo Exchange has lost some great workers who were sooo keen on fashion, they were in school for fashion and other jobs as designers for Macy's... I have sold some dope pieces of mine to them in the past and had fun with them. Now, I have to say, the workers aren't that pleasant or keen on fashion and it was an insult to take my items there this time. I shopped there too and wasn't that impressed. I won't go back. Go to Plato's Closet, they don't make you STAY in the store and WAIT or SHOP, they will actually go through your clothes, pick what they want and call or text you when they are done going through your stuff. Much less stress if they don't take much of what you expected....no big deal. You didn't wait or have to sit there and NOT be entertained. There are plenty of vintage stores in the area if you REALLY want fashion.
Awesome experience!!! Super friendly staff and amazing fashion. I would definitely go back to Buffalo Exchange. Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect. 💋❤☺
Went here to drop off a wide variety of clothing and left very disappointed. First, the store opened late, which was super annoying due to limited parking and the weather being so cold - there was a line outside of people waiting to get in. Next, I waited 30min. for my clothes to be reviewed - not a problem. However, the ONLY item they accepted were a pair of Sperry duck boots! The girl reviewing my items said they weren’t interested in spring/summer clothes, and that was all I had brought in. Wrong - as shown in the pictures, I had winter jackets, sweaters, cardigans, jewelry, etc. I was highly disappointed in the service and will not be going back.
This buffalo exchange meets buffalo exchange standards-- a very hip/retro/vintage vibe throughout the store, employees included. If you aren't used to the "hipster scene" then this place is not right for you. When I walk in this store, it puts me right back on Haight St. in the SF store. All of the employees look as if they were plucked right out of SF and placed here in Denver. My rating is based solely off of my shopping experiences here- I haven't sold to them so I can't give a full review. They have a decent selection of clothing and shoes- the racks are always extremely full but it is VERY retro indeed. I feel like the Men's section is lacking a little..I have brought my boyfriend here but options in his size "large" are limited for him. Prices are a little steep on some items that are definitely not high end but I guess that's just how it goes? I like that you can bring in your own bags and dedicate tokens to different charities :)
From a buyer perspective, I found a lot of amazing pieces that fit me really well! The woman working was so kind, she gave us a list of vintage stores in the area to hit up! I got a pair of vintage trousers that were Levi's (and I've never had a pair of pants fit me so well). I'd say if you're looking for trendy, staple pieces but don't want to look through an entire thrift store, this is the place to go! The prices were obviously a little higher than your normal second-hand store but it makes sense given that they select specific pieces to sell. (And they had really trendy sunglasses!!)
Fairly large store with good selection of items. Prices are sometimes higher than I would spend on second-hand pieces but you can find good deals if you look. I've also sold clothes here - can be a hit or miss experience depending on who looks at your stuff and there is usually always a wait.
It's a great shop!! Haven't sold with them yet, but could spend hours shopping in there!! I was excited to see Denver had a buffalo exchange, as I used to frequent the Austin locations. The selection is slightly more limited, however, its an awesome place to keep up with trends or find a unique look, without having to go eight million places. I also find a lot more things that fit my body type compared to department stores.
Shop local!!
They make you wait an hour to sell, and then they go through all your stuff just to tell you they're not going to take any of it, because "we're mainly focused on high waisted shorts." They could have told me exactly what they were looking for before I wasted an hour. Not to mention I had designer brand shorts and brand new tee shirts which they told me they were looking for. Save me the time and just tell me exactly what you want and don't want before I wait an hour. Not to mention I ended up buying something since I was standing around waiting. I feel like they just want people to shop, and couldn't care less that they are wasting people's time.
They said they already had enough stiletto boots. They wouldn't buy the Fergalucios boots I was selling. But they where happy to take them as a donation and resell them for huge profit.
Best Buffalo Exchange is here!!! Fun place for all your creative attire! They have well priced items that don't look like they came from the sloppy thrift store down the road. Unless that's your style, then you could find that here too.
I visited during the holidays; they had very cute decorations and back Santa party room!
If you are visiting Denver, check this place out. It is a requirement! Arrive a bit early before your reservation and enjoy a drink at the bar on the top floor with the bartender, he likes to play trivia with quests. I am not a big fan on the elf but the buffalo never fails me. Good service.
Great selection of clothes at good prices. We had a fun time shopping around. The dressing rooms have the worst lighting though!!
The staff I've encountered have been really pleasant so although some people may have come across rude staff don't let it defer you from visiting Buffalo Exchange! I always find at least one thing I love and keep for years , today I found adidas for 12$ and other goodies :) Plus they don't use plastic bags! Eco-friendly is a major plus
