This is the most unprofessional dump definitely lives up to Muskegon's current reputation. people smoking in side of business, nasty in side and out people working on cars in alley and parking lot defiantly some hick hood methods I'll spend the extra money and go to some where like national before I give these hicks with no buissnes SENCE a dime of my money osha needs to go in here as well as the city of muskegon shut this dump down

These are very honest people who aren't trying to scam you, we were from or of town and went to them after getting a horrible quote from a place -bud and rays just up the road they fixed everything wrong with our engine for like 20$ after the price of the parts needed to be replaced, we highly appreciate this place! If not for them we would have been stuck in Michigan broke

We are from Iowa, and had repair work done in June of this year. We were in Muskegon on vacation, and after a trip from Mackinac and back (5 hours each way) we noticed the car making noises and vibrating while shifting. Just swell, right? Being from WAY out of town, and out there on vacation, we had no idea where to go for service. We chose budget based off their reviews and the friendliness of the staff.
This was a very wise choice. When we dropped off our car, we did not see hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of fancy equipment. We saw mechanics, tools and people actively working on cars. The owner personally test-drove our car and diagnosed the problem. It was a quick fix that cost us less than $100, and we were only without our car for a day. Plus, the owner let us know what we could do to prevent the problem from acting up in the future.
I am certain that if we had taken it to a dealer or a large chain they would have ordered a very expensive diagnostic and probably charged us thousands for repairs that did not need to be made. And being stuck away from home, we probably would have paid it. I wholeheartedly recommend Budget Transmission. I wish they were in Iowa, because they did not gouge us on price and offered good service. These are REAL mechanics, and the only ride they will take you on is a test drive.response / report this review -
