As a former mechanic, I still do my own work where possible at home. I have found it hard to find a place to trust that meets my standards, doesn't "up-sell", and does quality work at reasonable prices. I have tried several locally to no avail.

This week, I found myself broke down, unable to do the repair myself because of work obligations and in a tight spot. On the recommendation of a friend, who uses Buck's, I took a chance and had the car towed after hours, called the next morning and waited. What I got was GREAT SERVICE, A CORRECT DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIR AT A GREAT PRICE!!!

In less than 2 days (reasonable considering a drop off and no appt.) The car was done, the repair was perfect and the price MORE than fair.

They have a new customer, I can do less repairs at home, and I FINALLY feel I have a place to trust with any of my cars, and any repairs.

I brought my car there after having the transmission oil changed in upstate NY by a dealer. At my request they removed the pan and reinstalled it. It still leaked, BUT it wasn't their fault. Buck's agreed to take another look at it and found a speed sensor on the transmission leaking. They repaired it and it's been running perfectly. I would highly recommend this repair shop.

The other reviewers are for real! Stopped by there today, because I had run over something a while back, and was now hearing a noise from the rear of the car. I'm traveling to NH next week , and was a bit concerned. Anyhow, I figured that while I was there I'd have them check my brake pads.They put the car on the lift, and checked for rattles etc. and found nothing that needed attention also checked pads and all was fine there. After the fellow told me all was fine, I asked how much$$, his reply was I didn't do anything so there is no costfor the piece of mind he provided, I gave him a few$$$. When ever I need car service in North Port, these are the folks that will be doing the work!!
