Want really a James Buchanan fan until I visited his birthplace just outside Mercersburg PA. I was surprised by some of the details about both his personal and political life. Be sure and visit Mercersburg Academy and take a look at the cabin where he was born. The cabin was saved and moved to the academy campus and although we weren't able to go through it, it was well worth theside trip to the campus.

The birth place of our 15th President, James Buchanan. 5 stars.simply because I'm a history nerd and seek this kind of stuff out. So cool.

Very tranquil setting on a warm mid-winter day listening to the sounds of the nearby stream and standing at the birthplace of the only U.S. President from Pennsylvania.

It was really just a let down. I wouldn't go out of my way for this park. It has no trails to walk on. Any where you can walk is off limits.
It did have a nice stream running through it. Oh and plenty of parking because no one was there.
