Decent old rink. Two rinks and a decent concession stand. The place has been there for ever, so it is a little old but not bad. The parking lot is kind of tight. There is a bar and grill right next to it, so not too bad of a place. There is also some other family friendly places near there and some shopping further up telegraph.
The new thing that a couple of rinks have is live video. I cannot remember the name of the website that does it but this rink has that. You have to pay a fee to be able to watch it on the internet but it is pretty cool none the less. Overall not a bad rink.
This rink continuously has scheduling/time management issues. We were told, exact words, by their scheduling "manager" Tina on 12.17.17 that, and I quote, "if we don't like it don't book with them". In addition to ice times running significantly behind schedule, the center has double booked rinks, they have taken away our scheduled ice time (set times for a youth 7 month hockey season scheduled way in advance) to give to local high school teams a couple months already in to our season, etc. Our team also booked a room for a Christmas party with approximately 60 guests and not only was the room occupied by another group when our party was to begin, the room wasn't "party ready". We had to help ourselves to tables located downstairs and in the gym storage area. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but also not a way to treat a team that skates out of your arena 10 months a year with those parents paying ice bills to your establishment.
This UPS store is awesome. Helpful and friendly staff, fast service and way cheaper and faster delivery than the U.S. Post Office. I'll be coming here for all my delivery needs.
Okay place but wished they had bleachers setup and or way more room and chairs for parents to watch basketball so we didn't have hurry and grab chairs as people left
We had a tournament there. It was a nice place. One side was really really cold. The Windows where foggy. I don't believe the heaters where on. Beware bundle up. The other side cold but better seatting and heaters. Had a good tournament.
Re-Done. Home of the DFI Junior Hockey team. Clean Multi-Use facility.
Great experience, lighting was great, the officials did a great job, and the coaches seminar was even better
We love it there. There are several activities for all ages and the staff is super friendly and tri tip help you out with anything you need
Team was dressed and ready to go out for a hockey game and the game got canceled because the ice was down to the cement in different areas. Ice had been bad for weeks and no attention was paid to it.
I give this five stars just for what they have turned this place into. it was a old dirty dark dump.
Horrible! Worst venue ever! Not enough room .The gymnasts were too close to the bleachers. You allowed the next session to rudely come in when the gymnasts weren't finished and asked the session that just finished their portion to go to the awards section. Which caused all those sitting in the first 2 rows not to see their child perform. Whose the idiot that set up a state venue like this. When communities bid for the state and regional finals you should investigate whether or not it will fit the amount of gymnastic clubs and their parents. Goodness sake how horrible for the kids and their parents.
You should find another State Gymnastics Board to organize these events.
Brownstown, I hope you never do another event like this.
Friendly staff. New owners are slowly but surely fixing up the place. Rumor has it that it will soon have a new parking lot and indoor soccer stand alone building. Fingers crossed.
Well I think the place has really good intentions but I'd like for them to hire more staff when you're trying to locate one of the staff members is very hard to find them
