Food was good but the service was slow.
Brownies... time after time, hands down the most comfortable, welcoming breakfast joint in town. Solid breakfast (ham and eggs o'brian are my favorite), smooth coffee and the sounds of a timeless diner.
I've been coming here for years, friendly staff and delicious food at a nice price. Recently they extended there hours of operation, Monday thru Thursday, Saturday and Sunday they're now open till 3:00 PM, and Friday is the only night they're open till 9:00 PM.
I have always had a great eating experience at Brownies. I have had both breakfast and lunch and have gotten very good food every time.
This place seriously is the bomb dot com. We spent a week out in San Diego and the breakfasts were way too vegan/vegetarian for my liking. I grew up in Oklahoma so breakfasts meant, sausage, egg, hash browns or biscuits and gravy. This place reminds me of home and definitely is a staple of Yuma Arizona. The portion sizes are ample and if you leave hungry it’s your own fault for not ordering the right thing. The Kahmann Sausage is amazing, if you’re not from Yuma like myself you’ve gotta try this. I wouldn’t mind taking a carload back to Oklahoma. The only negative I can say is Service is a touch slow and that’s because they are so busy! Seriously though by far the best breakfast I’ve had in a long time!!
Great breakfast, friendly staff, reasonable price.
Very friendly atmosphere, waitresses and waiters are super nice and get your order out to you pretty quick. Food is just like a real home cooked meal!!
Great home style cooking, crispy hash browns, good portions and prices. The place was full of locals and busy, a real cowboy cafe.
Brownies Cafe is a nice, nastalgic Cafe. Prices are agreeable. Staff is very friendly. Good is good and tasty. Portions are small. Atmosphere is comfortable and spacious with additional small party room. A recommended place to stop and have breakfast/lunch.
I've been coming here for well over 40 years, Love the staff and Bobby is the best. That being said, in my view Brownies days are numbered, so sad! Quality is diminishing and the portions shrinking. Today I received the most pathetic meal in memory. No pride on the part of the cook and the server missed the opportunity to fix it prior to bringing it out suggesting that it was the new normal. What a shame to be witness to the slow erosion of this Yuma Legend.
Went there because of a yelp review for chicken fried steak. It was tough and did not taste good. They did adjust my bill which I appreciate. Maybe just one bad steak. People were nice. Eggs and hash browns were great. Would eat here again, just not the chicken fried steak.
