When your want really outstanding fruits and vegetables, Brennan's is the place to go. It is a little more expensive, but you won't get burned buying bad produce. They also have an excellent selection of Wisconsin cheeses, and good beer and wine too.
The butcher shop at Brannan's changed hands last year, and is now run by Haus of Prime Meats and Deli. While their meat is excellent, it's also very expensive, so we don't buy much meat there any more.

I have shopped here since it opened. Loved all the cheese tasting, which resulted in me buying a lot of cheese. Kevin the wine guy, long time gone was extremely helpful. I just am extremely sad this place is closing, I can't understand why.

Staff are always helpful. Nice to try fruit, veg, dips and cheese before purchasing. Usually pricey but quality items. Nice wine selection too.

Great options for fruits-veggies- and lots of cheese! The staff can be incredibly hit or miss, some of them are incredibly helpful others not so much which is disappointing

Great produce. Great variety of beers, wines and cheeses. Not a lot of hard liquor here. It is the only place I know of where I can consistently find mead.
Know before you go that they will card your entire party. In Madison I was even asked for a second I.D.

We ordered cheese to be sent to family in Wyoming only to find shortly after ordering that they would not be home. Brennans held the shipment for us, sent it when we requested and it arrived safely. Happy family. Love Brennans products and service!

Stopped at this gem while traveling. Wonderful market with every cheese you could ever dream of! The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The produce was beautiful and fresh. The best part.they ship out-of-state!

This is a great store! The have an extensive fruit and produce market and a nice deli/meat section. It really has a neighborhood market feel to it, and the staff was very friendly and helpful without being pushy or weird. I got a great sandwich out of the prepared food cooler in the back.
