UPDATE: Sept 19, 2017 Asked that they would get the dirt in the arena and round pens they promised in April 2017, I was stonewalled by Councilwoman Fiore's assistant. The park employees claimed the round pens and arena are maintained and drug every week. I have photos of lots of weeds in corrals. There is not even an 1/8" of dirt over the hard pan in either round pen so what's there to drag? I measured it with a tape measure to give an accurate account and took pics. They haven't hauled in dirt that was promised to me in April 2017. Lone Mountain Equestrian Park is maintained 5 days a week, they've had dirt hauled in after the park was only a year old and I've never seen a weed over there. City employees refuse to haul in new dirt. Where are our tax $$$$ going?
UPDATE: Sept 2017 Still no fresh dirt added to arena or round pens, ground is hard, trash and weeds all around. Still working on it to get things changed.
UPDATE: Spoke to park supervisor Darnell in May 2017 on site, he promised to get park cleaned up, maintained and get dirt in the arena and round pens. Park is being maintained now but still no dirt. Will contact again or go over his head

Footing is not safe for horses to be ridden any faster than a lope. Ground is hard in round pens. The grounds around the picnic tables haven't been swept in ages, trash around the place. Setup is great for the arena but they haven't been keeping the grounds up. Needs more dirt in the arena and round pens. Dirt needs worked in both areas. Footing is not safe for horses to be ridden any faster than a lope. Ground is hard in round pens. The grounds around the picnic tables haven't been swept in ages, trash around the place. This used to be a nice horse park. Everyone's going to the Lone Mountain Equestrian Park because its being maintained and its covered.

If you ride horses, this is the place to be ! The ground are usually kept clean and maintained.
