Bowmanstown is at an elevation of and is located 3mi west of Palmerton and 4mi south of Lehighton off Route 248.GeographyBowmanstown is located in southern Carbon County at, on the northeast bank of the Lehigh River. It is bordered on the east and north by Lower Towamensing Township, on the southeast by the borough of Palmerton, and on the southwest and west by East Penn Township.According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 2.07km2, of which 1.99km2 is land and 0.07km2, or 3.59%, is water.DemographicsAs of the census of 2000, there were 895 people, 389 households, and 257 families residing in the borough.
