My husband and I had a fantastic experience here! We were on a wine tour and this was my favorite stop out of 6. We loved it because the workers were fun and assisted us with so much knowledge of the vineyard and the wines. Also the only vineyard we stopped at with complimentary wine glasses. You must go there!
A great place to sit and enjoy some wine! They also have hard cider, as well as other things! Very nice people!
Bowers Harbor is always a must when we visit wineries in the Traverse City area. We are Wine Club members, and the perks are hands down the best. They have fantastic wines for everyone, whether you're a wine novice or wine connoisseur. I really appreciate the separate tasting area for groups/tours. Never have to wait to taste. Beautiful venue throughout the year.
This was a great stop for us. Very good wines and ciders. We had an amazing experience here. It is a must for any wine tour. They give 5 tastings for $5 and you get to keep the souvenir glass, what a deal most places charge more than that just for a glass. We like it so much that we joined the wine club and left with 12 bottles. We live over 2 hours away so it will force us to visit at least four times a year. I can't wait to visit during the summer to enjoy the outside seating area.
My fiancé and I had a wonderful time visiting Bowers Harbor Vineyard. The woman who poured our tastings, Taylor, was awesome and very knowledgeable. She made our experience something to remember. The wine was also great, especially the dry reds they offer. I definitely recommend stopping if your on Old Mission Peninsula.
Very quaint surroundings and I love the idea of having the "vineyard dogs" photos on the walls and on a few wine labels.
The person helping us seemed a little offish, personable but almost like he wasn't enjoying his job. Maybe he was just tired. However he did give us a little information regarding a reisling and the ciders. We ended up buying the peach-apple cider.
You do get to keep your wine glass so now I have a nice collection from the local wineries 😊 Parking is tight so be careful when leaving.
Loved this place! We came here in a 14 person tour and their staff welcomed us with open arms! We had our own picnic table ready for us when we got there. We immediately started our tasting and our guide was so nice with quite generous pours. One thing I noticed about this vineyard were the tables placed between vines so you can really eat and drink in the middle of it all, which gave you a truly unique experience. I loved their blueberry and peach cider combo, and had to take some home!
Red beard, builder of tables was amazing and really made our tasting experience spectacular. Could not have had a better bartender. Truly enjoyed all of our 10 tastings, especially the ciders. Definitely try them mixed! Blueberry and peach together ftw!
Tour was fantastic ,just very friendly an informative. Must do for wine tasters
My favorite winery on Mission peninsula. Great knowledgeable staff. Feels like Napa. Good variety of reds and whites.
Beautiful atmosphere, immersed in nature. Some of the better wine on old mission as well.
Can't beat $5 wine tasting for 5 wines, plus you keep the wine glass. And it was nice lounging outside drinking the wines. The ice cider is really good
Wine was good and was having an enjoyable time with my husband that is, until after our tasting I ordered a glass of wine and my husband ordered a cider tasting. We were deemed as taking up too much real estate for incoming wine tastings and moved to barstools in the retail area. Rude, disappointing, and made us feel like second class citizens. Never as a paying customer have I been treated so poorly. I will not go back and I can't recommend you waste your time either.
