A very warm welcome. Kristen was prompt and helpful in answering questions before taking our food order. Realizing it was our first visit, she gave us good information on history about the owner Eric and his proactivness to the business and customers. The food was delicious. We will go back!

Sunday service was slow. About 12 people total in the restaurant and it still took about 39 minutes for happy hour nachos. After we waited for our appetizers to come we were given the excuse that there was a large to-go order ahead of us. Appetizers came out minus our nachos, but were given the excuse that the cook was just about done. 12 minutes later (after finishing the previous appetizers) the nachos came. No apology. No nothing for the delay. Never asked if we needed a refill for our drinks. Had to find our server to cash out. Didn't even remember us from 10 minutes ago. Not good.

This is a fun college bar that attracts a trendy crowd. They have good happy hour specials on both food and drinks as well as daily food specials. They are known best for their beer selection with a large, rotating variety of craft and local brews on tap as well as a wide selection of bottled beers. Wine and cocktails are also available. The food is good, with some very creative options of typical bar fare. Pizzas are surprisingly good.

Boulders is an awesome spot with great food and great beer. It's a very bike-friendly spot with a dog-friendly patio. I haven't had a meal here that I haven't liked a lot. Trivia on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays are always a good time to meet folks and have a couple drinks too. Can't recommend enough!

I love this place. A lot of their food concepts are kind of like something that someone would come up with while under the influence, but they're all pretty good. The California Carver pizza is a good choice.

They always have a lot of different beers on tap and in bottles/cans. The selection is pretty good. It's not exactly dirt cheap, but some of the specials that they have on weekdays for their loyalty program are pretty good, and there's often some kind of happy hour going on.

The staff are also very nice and helpful.

This is a fun place. Really great crowd. Excellent beer menu. The menu descriptions of the food sounded really good and it all looked really good but lacked flavor.

Believe I first went here in 2010. Been going back ever since. Staff is excellent. They know their beer, yet they're unpretentious about it. They remember their customers and their drinks. Check out their website and go for trivia night.

Huge selection of craft beers. Cozy areas along the bar as well as in the upstairs area. Limited amount of local beer, but considering Four Peaks has a brewery and restaurant nearby I'm not surprised. Also no domestics.

Staff and management are comprised of amazing, attentive people. The food is great. Stuff I might not make for myself at home mixed with bar food + extra niceties.

The happy hour drinks and appetizers were awesome, and all for a great deal. Seems like Sunday nights are trivia nights, and it looked like fun, but we had just gotten back from a weekend trip and were too tired to stick around. Our waiter was really terrible and having to walk through the kitchen to the men's bathroom was kinda weird (they're under reconstruction), but would definitely go back for the happy hour (til 7) and trivia. As long as we had a different server.

Stopped in for happy hour a few weeks ago with a friend. I am not a huge beer fan, but they have an awesome selection. Their wine selection isn't that greatbut I already figured that going in. We decided to order a few things off the happy hour menu and share a sandwich. We tried the crispy artichokes and beer queso. Both were excellent. We shared the honey chicken sandwich and waffle fries, which was delicious as well.

Overall, everything was great and will definitely return next time I am in Tempe!

Been going here since I was a kid and it was a Chicago's.
All these years later and it's still a fun place.
Food isn't bad at all and drink prices are awesome!
    Trivia night all the time.
They even have a service industry after-hours for us late workers.
    Who does that?
Plus they have a couple bartenders that are amazing late night, crazy group.
The boss is also another upstanding dude (Ed). These guys rock.

Does Boulders have the BEST food? No. Does it have the BEST drink options? No. The BEST ambiance? Service? Location? Nope. But! It is the place you should go on that fourth date. It's where you should go to play trivia. It's where you should ask the waitress about what beers she likes the most right now and why. It's where you can hang out for 20 minutes or 2 hours just as easily. It is the essence of low key, down to earth Tempe. Maybe Boulders is the best after all.

My husband and I visited the Thursday after Christmas. It was pretty slow which is what we tend to like. That aside, the ambiance of the place is great; the lodge-y decor matches the laid back atmosphere. Our server was incredibly helpful in helping us decide on a pizza (deep dish California Carver) and service was super quick! The bruschetta appetizer was my favorite part of the meal. We're very impressed and will be back.
