Bathrooms are definitely clean and high standard. Bar is pretty substantial for being in Illinois. It's great that they have huge speaker stacks but I didn't know I'd walk away being physically injured by the sound anywhere in their concert venue. Kind of strange how the restaurant and venue are divided into a back room situation but it'd be easy to grab a meal before show time. The formal bar area smelled a whole lot like pot after everything was said and done.

Really awesome experience! Great scotch selection! Wonderful show! Our whole time at the venue was fantastic! Wish the bouncer wasn't a douche though. He was the only damper on our night!

The Bottom Lounge is no where near the bottom of my list of cool places I got drunk got at. I'd say it's at a solid number 4 on that list, just because it has a rooftop bar and music venue all in the same building. And by music venue I don't mean some raised stage with chicken wire barrier. It's a legit music auditorium that gets some pretty cool bands.

I will say the venue is hard to get to via public transportation, but there's reasonable parking and the place is bike friendly. I don't own any of those kinds of vehicles so I'm out of luck.

This is a great small venue where you can be close to the performers from anywhere in the room. Though it can be a bit cramped in the hallway where merch is usually sold, you can see the stage from most of the tables. The staff is helpful and they have a great food & alcohol selection. They were even very accommodating to my gluten allergy, which is not always the case at concert venues. Even though it's a small place, it's one of my favourites. And as an added bonus, the bathrooms are reasonably clean for a concert venue!

Bottom Lounge was the venue for our recent wedding (September 2017) and it was perfect for our 80 guests. We had the ceremony and reception on site, utilizing both the indoor and outdoor space on the second floor. Natalie is their wedding coordinator and is absolutely wonderful to work with. She's very efficient, knows what she's doing, and makes sure that everything looks amazing on the big day. She has an inventory of items, such as dessert platters and cut wood discs for display that she's happy to let couples utilize. The space already has nice lighting, a Chicago feel, a permanent bar, and a DJ booth, so it saves the time of trying to plan the room from a completely "blank canvas." The optional photo booth and pinball machines are a fun touch. The food was delicious and was served family style. It was an overall great planning experience and perfect wedding day. Thank you to Natalie and everyone at Bottom Lounge!!

Was there for an event for TechWeek. We were upstairs in that space which was nice. It was small for the group that was there. The service was excellent all the bartender were attentive to however stepped up to the bar even with all the people that were there. That is one reason I would come back. Also since I didn't have a change to have any food there. I have to see what it's like.

Never having been to this venue before, we bought tickets to a show for my 19 year old brother's birthday. Upon arriving I felt immediately uncomfortable by the sketchy location. Apart from several guys hanging around outside, the area was deserted. We got there early, received our wristbands, and proceeded to wait around awkwardly. I'm 21 but don't drink in front of my younger brother, I also drove. When we sat down at a booth to order food, we were accosted by a big, black, security guard who seemed to be out of his mind. It turns out my brother was given the "wrong colored" wristband (same as mine), even though there were black X's on his hands indicating that he is not 21. Having been there for barely 15 minutes, we were screamed at, berated, kicked out and forced to make the hour-drive back to the suburbs. I have never been so disrespected in my life. With the help of our parents we are filing a dispute against this place, but based on other reviews I've read, the men who work here need to be fired.

Really dig this pace for a concert for a number of reasons. 1) The room is wide open, good views from everywhere. 2) The sound is good. 3) Good bar up front, and the ability to leave the room to grab a drink and get away from bands you don't want to see is clutch.

Great venue despite where you end up standing. If you're around for food, that's also good stuff. Easy to get to an park with lots of great surrounding post or pre options.

They got rid of my favorite burger (beer onion, mmmm), but it's still pretty good. A great place to eat before a Blackhawks game without the absurd/annoying crowds - they make a tasty burger and have a solid beer selection. I'd definitely recommend going here for drinks or food.

Concerts in the back room are great, the sound system is pretty good and it's a good size for up and coming bands as well as established but "not huge" bands.

This is one of my favorite venues in Chicago! It has a great atmosphere, good food, and tons of beer options. It is easily accessible from the CTA green line. Before shows, be sure to grab a bite at the bar. They have a small menu, but the food is delicious. It is also an official Blackhawks bar so you can get a bus from there to the UC for free for all home games. It has a lot to offer for anyone in the area!

This bar is always fun and intimate because it is one of those smaller venues. I even get to meet band members every once in a while just running into them before the show in the parking lot or in the crowd after their set. Really good bands play here if you're into rock or indie or pop or punk or anything between really.
