Amazing atmosphere! Very tasty food! The portion sizes are large, plenty enough for one person even two could share. Waiting for a table is a breeze you can sit or stand at the large bar area, the staff will take your order and bring you a side of tortilla chips and salsa for free. Great place for any day of the week to go out and enjoy a flavor packed Tex Mex meal!

An energetic casual restaurant with a good mix of TexMex and Cajun cuisines. Generous portions in both food and drink. The music is a loud for my taste thus forcing you to talk really loud to hear your company. Ergo, the ambiance feels rowdy and untamed, but the food is good. If you see the bright EAT sign, you've found the restaurant.

Food is quite good. The service was also pretty fast. There is always a waiting every time I go there. Little noisy atmosphere, but I liked it. I have ordered blackened chicken with rice and it was very tasty, quantity wise it could have been little better. Overall, a nice food joint with good food if you are ok with the noisy atmosphere.

Oh. Em. Gee. I cannot rave enough about my experience here! Truly phenomenal. Its a little tricky to get on the right road to come in to the parking lot but nothing too challenging. I was promptly greeted upon entering and chose to sit at the bar. The bartenders were friendly and attentive to everyone. I had the Salmon San Sebastián. It was exquisite! The rice was a little spicy for my liking but I powered through because the flavor was amazing and complimented the perfectly grilled salmon well. If you’re considering this place don’t think twice about it! Take it from a picky eater you will not be disappointed!

Nice Tex Mex food. The food here is pretty incredible. They give you a ton of food for not a lot of money which is why I think they've been around for as long as they have. Nice laid back causal atmosphere, very festive. If I wasn't so far from this place I'd probably frequent more.

Always good food! You can tell everything (including the chips and salsa) are fresh and made in-house. Staff is amazing and service is always super fast! My favorite restaurant in Delaware! They get a 6th ⭐!

This place is always crowded. They don't take reservations. The service was good but it's incredibly loud inside and hard to have a conversation. The food was decent but the menu is a bit unusual. Don't go there thinking it's Mexican. It's not quite that. It has a Cajun Louisiana twist to it.

Amazing meals at reasonable prices. The place is almost always busy from open to close. They do not take reservations so theirs a good chance you'll have to wait to be seated. That's a small price to pay for a top-notch dining experience. Highly recommend Borders Cafe if you're in the mood for Mexican cuisine.

Standing ovation. Seriously. The food was the best we have had in a long time. The spices and fresh food used we enjoyed. And pulled beef in the enchiladas was perfect. The atmosphere was lively and the staff professional. This is our #1 restaurant. Thank you for an enjoyable evening.

To many new managers changing the menu and prices. They also discontinued the Texas Margarita.....really?!?!? In 10 years the beef fajitas have went up $6 and the quality of the meat has declined.

They burned my chicken breast last time I was there and I couldn't eat with my family. The manager came to the table and he stupidly said "looks like your chicken was a little well done" Plain and simple it was burnt and should have never left the kitchen. No compensation for their screw up but what should I expect for a place like that.

I will be a while before my family and I return. By the trend if I wait a year they will have all new management anyway.

11 months later and still have not went back. so happy I am no longer giving them $80 twice a week any more!

Fantastic Tex Mex food at a good price. I wish they had desert, but what they do have is good.

Excellent food and service. We have been there many times and have had nothing but great experiences and outstanding service from our waiter/waitress! Definitely recommend it!

Generally, Border Cafe has great food for an even better price. The service is always exceptionally quick and fast. The servers I've had over the years have been nothing but friendly and are always willing to explain a dish if you're unsure about it. I went in the day after Christmas at 2:30pm. It was busy, but as my husband and I were walking up, we could see some empty tables and also, other patrons coming out after their meals. We walk in and multiple groups of people were waiting to be sat (which is usually expected). We put our name in for a party of two and were told the wait was "25 or 30 minutes. It won't be any sooner. I can tell you that much." So, we waited out in the entrance for a few minutes before we decided to leave and go to another Mexican place down the road, which was subpar at best. We were so hungry and wanted decent, clean food. After we left and were on the road to the other restaurant that's five minutes away by the hospital, I received a text message saying our table was ready. Clearly, 25-30 minutes means roughly 10 minutes and I didn't get the memo. The only grievance I have here is that if you're going to staff your host stand on a day after a holiday with anyone who has a pretty face, at least have someone who is competent in working a wait time list. I received FIVE additional text messages from different phone numbers within 30 minutes of the first one saying the table was ready. Border Cafe, you're great and we will definitely be back sometime. However, this was a disappointment when you've always been on point. Please don't be too good to be true!

Not a bad spot...and if ya don't know what Cajun food is, it is great! Could use more seasonings...other than that, the waiter was great! Food was good, and wasn't expensive!

Update 20161030: We went back and the service and quality are even better! Wonderful place!

The quality of the food is wonderful. It is well prepared and tasty. Give the steak fajitas a try. The meat is very tender, the onions perfectly cooked, and the seasoning is spot on.
